one of the reason that leave nip mark on ur kit is tat the plier itself is not flat and sharp enough! Usually hardware shop one are not flat the space in between the 2 blade has a little curve which would cause nip marks on it!!

You can get the cutter from the pasar road electronic shop. Quite cheap and the quality is not bad either. Got made in japan, taiwan and china.

Would it be better to Paint MG Patlabor Ingrams in Flat or Glossy white? Which finishing did most professionals used on Patlabor Model Kits?

Since the kit will be displaying on in ur own shelf so which u prefer? U could always spray it glossy first then if u dun like it just buy a Flat top coat and spray it on the kit! |

I know for most gundams i would prefer flat, but the thinig is I've never seen a glossy and flat patlabor so i cannot tell the difference. Most people use flat for Gundams so what about Patlabors? I'm just worried that making it look glossy might make it look abit unrealistic. |

I like Glossy on my mecha if i color them metalic! It give me the chogokin feel! If i color aqua type MS i would do Glossy to give the effect of coming out of water! But the other mecha if i dun do any special coloring i will stick to shading and Flat! So Patlabor for me i would go for shading + flat! Add some smoke effect on it! It would look like great! Just like it came out of a gun battle! |

I was wondering, when u spray Mr Top Coat Gloss over a model(Strike Freedom) which has already been sprayed with a layer of paint, will the color change? I intend to spray a model using these colors:
Mr. Color Spray #001 Gloss White Mr. Color Spray #002 Gloss Black Mr. Color Spray #076 Metallic Blue or should I use Metallic Black since I'm using the Top Coat Gloss? Also, what would happen if u sprayed the Top Coat directly onto the Gundam(with no paint) |

spray cans kenot overlap each other and the results would not look nice compare to AB becoz it's thick....
TopCoat will not affect ur paint, it just gives a layer of protection and depend wat kind of topcoat. If gloss then gloss effect, if flat then flat effect... if u spray topcoat onto gundam without paint, it's ok.. let's say u spray flat , then it will look flat lo.. |
