ovp date can change anytime they want..no need see la..
but ordered date will remain the same.

Just FYI for anyone interested to buy from lenovo site, I paid uisng their HSBC 12-months instalments. I just notice that HSBC is already charging me the 1st instalment while my laptop ETA is still nearly 4 months away. I wonder if this will lower my chance of getting discount for late delivery.

This could be the fastest UPS shipping I have ever seen. Every step was fast in overseas, however things slow down when reached Msia. I called UPS just now and they told me already submitted clearance yesterday 10.15AM (19Nov), however still waiting for Custom clearance. Msia BoLeh!

Thought if cleared yesterday then today could get my laptop. But oh well have to wait until next week 😢

Finally case closed.

They are 2 major things I want to update, just in case you're facing the same problem.
I email Lenovo about the authorize amount, it seem like it's their policy to "authorize" the payment every week until the shipment start.
According their explanation, normally bank only hold the authorization amount for only 1 week, therefore Lenovo will "re-authorize" that amount weekly to secure the payment.
But unfortunately my bank is RHB, and according to RHB bank policy, they will hold the authorization for 1 month, unless customer call them and ask for release,
in my case, shipment took 3 weeks, and 3x authorization floating my credit.
Of course only 1 payment will be charged in the end, but in the meanwhile, my RM7.8k amount is floating and unable to spend the money.
Imagine your card only have 8k limit, you can't even pump petrol at the month

2nd problem I encounter is after the laptop arrive on Malaysia UPS warehouse, there is no movement for 10 days. I contact UPS, they know nothing and, no idea why there is no movement, no idea what is holding up, basically they give zero f**k. So next I contact Lenovo, apparently Lenovo didn't sent UPS the proper documentation for custom clearance, so by the next day it sorted out and delivered on the same day.

So anyone have the same problem please directly contact Lenovo. I message then through Lenovo Malaysia Facebook page, response was fast

Holy crap 10 days! Lenovo has done this so many times and still manage to f things up at every opportunity.

For my case I hope I'm in good hands since it is already cleared custom. But showing "on the way" since yesterday. Didn't even go to warehouse yet hmmm

Hope someone can recommend me laptop from lenovo with below criteria:

Good battery life
Portable and lightweight
Performance processor (i7 or 5800 is ok)
Minimum 16gb ram
Graphic cards not important, as mainly for photoshop and programming purpose

Budget below rm5k

Previously considered the legion pro, but the weight and battery life denies my requirement so have to let go that option
