i want ask something..i just saw that corn cobs in my yogi bear's tank reduced from day to day.
Is it syirian hamster eat corn cobs?sound weird. 

for ur info,food & fresh fruit in her tank always provided.
but still corn cobs reduced day to day.

Ya, i think it is WW. I was really 0.0 when i see it jumps so high. You're right i already bought him to a new bigger cage. But he seem very boring with new cage. Really feel like wanna put him back him paper box. Too bad it already chew a small hole there.
Now one of the babies also same like it's daddy and having same color like it's fur also quite active.

Teeth Problems
All rodents have front teeth (incisor) which keeps growing until they reach the end of their life. That's why you see your hamster(s) gnawing and chewing on things all the time. This is to 'file' their teeth to make sure it is not too long. However, the main factor from preventing overgrowth is the wear caused by upper and lower incisors. Teeth problems can be caused by abscess or malnutrition which leads to misalignment of either of the incisors.
Symptoms: Lack of appetite and drooling. Weight loss and foul odor from the mouth
Treatment: Vet will trim the overgrown incisors and extract them. Antibiotics.

Har? You thought it was having fun in the paper box? It was jumping and running around, trying to find a way to escape. It feels uncomfortable and scared, there is no wood shavings in that box too. Boring? When a hamster is bored, it would chew things like the cage bars or plastic house or bowl. If it sleeps, it means it is comfortable, not bored.

does she carry it into those houses?

don't they sell chew sticks, dried fruits and nuts stuck on an ice cream stick for hammies to chew?

Cage is always like that.... that is why better not use cage, use tank mah.

You can go Pets Wonderland and find the wood chew sticks.... or go Pet Safari and get those hamster treats that look like sticks.
