My b618 5Ghz wifi keeps on disconnecting and reconnecting for no reason. Updated to latest software and no mod nothing.
Anyone facing the same problem as me?

depends on alot of what exactly is your current situation without it

it can improve from almost nothing to a big improvement that separate being usable and not usable

Gosh, that is bad even with CA.
What about your signal?
You might need to get external antennas?

How do you do speed tests? Over your phone with the Wi-Fi or the LAN cable?
You really need to calibrate, is your area saturated?
At least you managed to get one.
I wasted a whole day just to try getting it last week and all the TM Point(s) representatives were just ignorant.

Even filed for a MCMC complaint and all they can tell me is my area has no unifi connection. I mean like since when is wireless broadband a fixed fiber connection?

wat u talking about.. b3 +b7? b315 is only running single band 4g modem.... u lock those 2, it will only run either 1 of it only.



dont belief that u see ont he bar coverage. unless u get the connection strength in xx dbm

You didt get benefit from CA as your modem single band only.

For my area, band 3 sometime good only mostly gg. So I lock band 7 can 80-100 single band.

So you need band by band test.
So don't believe there have a fix way to get maximum speed.

my friends want to get a b618-65d modem.

want to ask does tm point still offer unifi mobile old plan with modem or ald switch to unifi air plan which m odem is telco lock?

Bro. With honest call. You test with your current device will be better then buy 618 blindly.
Switching around band and test...
If band speed was OK. Then you can think about change modem otherwise don't.

I see. If you tested on fastest band on modem only get 15mbps download then I Don think worth to upgrade.
Because at my home. I get 15mbps with my Mate 20 Pro with prepaid sim without lock band(and I sure it not locked to fastest)
So I straight buy b618 and switch i150 now constantly get 60+. If network less user condition I can get about 100-120 with one band.

Can this router work with usual fiber cable? will it better than other router that suggested on the pinned thread here

i believe it can but not sure.
and not worth it too as it only get 1 RJ45 left if you plug in another cable....
you can get better router like asus for the price of 65D

my area only got 4G no 4G+ yet.. if both band are not congeseted.. 4g+ sure beat 4G modem alots...

i do this test only for single band connection for compare.

if 4g+ sure is more than what 4G modem can get... this is logic. unless network is congested.

You can get a much better WiFi router with the price much cheaper than 65D.

I am also trying to figure out, since my B618 auto updated and can't be used with digi, I have just applied for unifi (now available in my house area). Instead of wasting money buying a new router / wifi extender / mesh, thinking to try set up B618 either pppoe or use original unifi router and set up B618 as AP.
Was hoping somebody has experience using B618 as fibre router (pppoe). How's the performance vs stock unifi router.
