Guys, quick question.

If I were to get a B618-65D at the nearest selected TMPoint, would there always be ready stock in stores?
Or is there a way to pay / book online then pick it up when it's readily available?

Since the nearest TMPoint for me would be around 90+KM, wouldn't wanna waste all that time and effort and come home empty handed.

Thanks

Seems like TM is shutting the plan for us to get the B618.
I've been to two appointed TMpoints in Penang and they said that the unit and package is not being offered anymore due to "sudden suspension".

Seems like they also know that we're getting the discounted unit but using other telco's internet subscriptions.

Can anyone clarify or confirm this? Thanks

Which telekom package is the one with the B618 - 65d? Was looking around Unifi site cannot find.
I'm stuck in some jungle apparently no unifi and Streamyx is so damn expensive so i'm looking for alternatives and research led to this topic

And it seems like unifi Air is starting and is offered to Streamyx subscribers only.
Which is stupid.

And that's the end of that for me. I'm In Penang.  bangwall.gif

I see some B618-25d on lazada that are apparently unlocked. Would those work with digi?

Thank you.
*
Yes. It would.
The B618-22d you mean?

Oh What is this? Well if it is any good then maybe an escape. RM169 for 8MB OK? and like no other option. Just dicsovered maybe 4G an option.

They are unwilling to tell more details about this unifi Air.
It's being rolled out as we speak and offered for streamyx subscribers.

Means others ppl cannot subscribe to this plan except streamyx user?
*
Maybe they are testing it out. Not too sure about the details.
I came to that conclusion is because when I asked "So I need to subscribe for Streamyx now in order to get that offer?" She just nodded and smiled.
And the plan is offered through calls? You can't just walk in a say I want to get that plan.

So my b618-65d will be legendary? wink.gif
*
Probably not, since the new "Unifi AIR" still requires the subscriber to purchase a B618-65d outright at the same discounted price, just that the internet package is tied to a 24-month contract.

QUOTE(saitong09 @ Jul 21 2019, 08:54 AM)
laugh.gif many of us register and terminate the plan asap in order to buy the B618
*
Exactly, was planning to do the same but they "suspended" the plan until further notice, probably due to the roll out of "Unifi AIR".
A little bit too late.

The Unifi Air plan that’s being proposed will cost users RM79/month and will be offered with unlimited quota on a 24-month contract. There will also be no upfront payments, and users will not have to pay for the LTE device either.

Users are NOT buying the Huawei B618 since there's NO upfront payment needed.
I believe early termination would impose some penalty.
*
Well, the TM Point representatives at two different locations and TAD told me that the device is sold separately, just that the plan hasn't been fully rolled out thus the sudden suspension of sales.

But who knows, there's no fine details for any of us.

Posibble? If this is true then the SIM only can be used on the dedicated B618 only
*
And that one particular set appointed to you if that's the case.

Tm new sign up the modem is it locked to tm Sim?
*
The new plan isn't officially out yet and the details are scarce.
What we're interested here is the discounted B618-65d, that's all. sweat.gif

Does it increase my speed(Mbps) and stable low ping?
*
Gosh, that is bad even with CA.
What about your signal?
You might need to get external antennas?

How do you do speed tests? Over your phone with the Wi-Fi or the LAN cable?
You really need to calibrate, is your area saturated?
At least you managed to get one.
I wasted a whole day just to try getting it last week and all the TM Point(s) representatives were just ignorant.

Even filed for a MCMC complaint and all they can tell me is my area has no unifi connection. I mean like since when is wireless broadband a fixed fiber connection?

My house currently using Streamyx 4Mbps (RM140/month). Been asking and waiting for Unifi to be available but nothing. And last week Unifi call and promote this Unifi Air (1 Month Free Trail). RM79/Month and Unlimited.

The speed so far very stable and satisfied

Someone finally got their B618.
Guess TM has been hoarding it for their Unifi Air rollout since last month.

But why tmnet still refuse to implement fiber and even introduce 4G wireless ?
Moreover , charging stmyx price way higher than fiber ?
*
Can't say streamyx is more expensive now, it's reduced to what RM69? But the price still doesn't justify the lack of fiber penetration within the nation.

Always the same reason(s).
Infrastructure isn't cost effective to be implemented or it takes too long "build".

I guess they went with the easiest way out.
Utilizing the current 4G network to temporarily "patch" the streamyx issue.
Let's just see what they announce for today's #khabarbaik event.

No point, can't even subscribe if you're not an existing Streamyx user.
