QUOTE(saitong09 @ Jul 19 2019, 07:22 PM) Means others ppl cannot subscribe to this plan except streamyx user? Maybe they are testing it out. Not too sure about the details. I came to that conclusion is because when I asked "So I need to subscribe for Streamyx now in order to get that offer?" She just nodded and smiled. And the plan is offered through calls? You can't just walk in a say I want to get that plan.

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Jul 20 2019, 11:36 AM) So my b618-65d will be legendary? Probably not, since the new "Unifi AIR" still requires the subscriber to purchase a B618-65d outright at the same discounted price, just that the internet package is tied to a 24-month contract. QUOTE(saitong09 @ Jul 21 2019, 08:54 AM) many of us register and terminate the plan asap in order to buy the B618 Exactly, was planning to do the same but they "suspended" the plan until further notice, probably due to the roll out of "Unifi AIR". A little bit too late. This post has been edited by dark_axl21: Jul 21 2019, 09:05 AM

A little bit too late. https://www.soyacincau.com/2019/07/08/unifi...nlimited-quota/The Unifi Air plan that’s being proposed will cost users RM79/month and will be offered with unlimited quota on a 24-month contract. There will also be no upfront payments, and users will not have to pay for the LTE device either. Users are NOT buying the Huawei B618 since there's NO upfront payment needed. I believe early termination would impose some penalty.

I believe early termination would impose some penalty. Well, the TM Point representatives at two different locations and TAD told me that the device is sold separately, just that the plan hasn't been fully rolled out thus the sudden suspension of sales. But who knows, there's no fine details for any of us. This post has been edited by dark_axl21: Jul 21 2019, 11:12 AM

QUOTE(westlife @ Jul 21 2019, 01:48 PM) Tm new sign up the modem is it locked to tm Sim? The new plan isn't officially out yet and the details are scarce. What we're interested here is the discounted B618-65d, that's all.

Noob question. On the bottom right of my laptop screen, I can see my internet as Huawei-B618-Axxx.
1) If I were to change the name to something else eg: "newbie", will this affect the modem's ability to still auto decide which band and frequency to choose from. Reason I ask is because on 192.168.8.1 (under wlan basic setting), when I changed the name, only the 1st SSID box shows the new name. The rest still shows as Huawei-B618-Axxx.
2) Also, is Huawei-B618-Axxx (the last 3 numbers the same for all Huawei-B618-65d modem)?
3) Currently my Huawei modem's password is the same as what's printed on the bottom of my Huawei modem. Is it advisable to change or just leave it as it is
