I was told by Maxis CS that the speed is only up to 20mbps, but that's confirmed not true. In fact, It depends on location and device used. Maybe, the provided ZTE modem is only 4G capable, so they say "up to 20mbps".
Yesterday at 8pm, my nephew downloaded a steam game with size of 20GB, it was completed at around 30 minutes. So, it's definitely over 20mbps by calculation.
Now, the only question is whether it's truly unlimited or not, will be able to confirmed sooner or later.

Good to know that. Perhaps next time can run a Speedtest to have a speed indication.

Yeah, thanks. Saw now, I'm a heavy user of soc-med, so definitely cannot afford to have throttled speed. Stick to Digi then.

When I register Maxis One WiFi Plan. I did ask the sales person. There is a FUP (Fair Usage Policy) on this so called Unlimited usage. Generally is 300Gb, once you hit that quota, Maxis will reduce your usage speed to very low. That’s why is still Unlimited.

On the others like Digi i150 I’m currently still using, I’ve usage above 300Gb and it didn’t throttle my download speed. There is once I’ve hit 384Gb recently 😂.

I have no problem with the speed using 5G frequency. But it totally no working at all at 2.4G, it’s super slow and sometimes no internet at all when connecting to 2.4G.

May I know is it possible to get a good router and connect to the B618. Then disable the WiFi in B618. Basically the B618 is work as a modem only and WiFi will be handled on another router.

The reason I have to keep using 2.4G because my laptop only can connect to 2.4G.

I believe it's truly unlimited but the point is their tiny coverage area for LTE band 38, & 40. If your area doesn't support those bands, you'll have to make do with slower speed.

Hi ... I'm new to wireless networking. I would like to ask:

May I know which Maxis band is better for me to lock it Band 3 or Band 7.

Thanks in advance.

you need to lock it individually on either one of the band and test it to know the results
