When B618's wifi isn't powerful enough and you wanna prepare for fiber network at the same time...

I have B315 x 2, but also become dead red led, lazy to fix, b618 is the most strong signal in my place, can go 100+ Mbps in rural area

Hi Bros, any guideline to set-up the B618 5Ghz channel? Was tried a few time but the machine still use 2.4Ghz channel.

just bought b525, and then found out b818 which support all bands which only rm50 difference. sigh

I think the easiest way is to just head into the web UI and tweak it from there?

I think it's under settings > WLAN > WLAN basic settings > and just enable the 5GHz WLAN module > click apply and it should appear.

Yes, it do appear when enable it, but the connection has no internet....do you face this issue as well?

I have 3 SSID running. One 5Ghz the other two is 2.4Ghz

I have a B618 65D coming on order after raya but to my dismay I received my Digi Infinite 150 simcard only to find out the signal is rather weak coming from my ROG Phone 2 in my house. It kept switching to 3G (which isn't working at all) until I locked it to LTE using an app. Even then it's only reaching 12mbps despite getting 120mbps around 200m nearer to the main road.

Now I'm wondering will the B618 get better signal or should I have ordered something like the Mikrotik Outdoor LTE modem instead

Another option for me is to install and outdoor antenna I suppose, but the ones sold online seems rather sketchy and I'm not sure if they will make a difference.

phone always have week signal than router with high gain antenna. tower design B618 hide 4x4 built-in omni high gain antenna. phone using tiny little multiband antenna.

OK appreciate the reassurance Bro.. I hope it will be good enough to get a good signal. After tasting that sweet 120mbps signal near the main road pretty hard to settle for 12mbps. Especially after bearing with screamyx 4mbps for a decade already.

Will report back here once I get my B618.

So current unifi b618 is telco locked eh?
