I wouldn't call it overpowered as you will benefit from the speed boast using the B618, provided you have good DiGi coverage in your area. The modem also works with Unifi Air so win/win situation if you decide to switch in future.

I believe the answer to the question you are asking is that the B618 does support Carrier Aggregation. It can support up to 3CA, but normally like DiGi's 4G+, it usually connects to Band 3 + Band 7.

Smartphones like the Note 10+ supports up to x7CA. I hope this answers your doubts. ✌
