Yes, telcos gives SIM locked unit now.You may consider buying at Lazada/Shopee. Alternatively, you may try Huawei B715-xxx or B818-xxx.

QUOTE(Rudd @ Apr 13 2020, 07:16 PM) Top Huawei LTE-A/4G+ router so far (2019) 1st place - B618 2nd place - B528 3rd place - E5186 4th place - B525 I need band 5, is there other alternative than b618 & b525? What’s so special about the B528? Is there two version 23a and other version? Maxis is having 4G unlimited in RM 138 so I’ve decided to terminate my Digi Infinite 150. I’ve two modem which is e5168 and B525. Will B528 or B618 improve my maxis download speed? |

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ May 26 2020, 08:52 AM) What’s so special about the B528? Is there two version 23a and other version? The ranking is provided by TS, not me.Maxis is having 4G unlimited in RM 138 so I’ve decided to terminate my Digi Infinite 150. I’ve two modem which is e5168 and B525. Will B528 or B618 improve my maxis download speed? I have no experience with b528, but i did with b525. B618 has better signal than b525, 2 vs 4 antenna. Maxis new plan is capped at 300gb, if your monthly usage does not exceed this, then maxis are good for you. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 26 2020, 03:09 PM) It may have streaming cap. I'm thinking to switch too, wait for more updates from users. As you have said, you travel a lot, and RLH is somewhat important to you.My usage is lower than 150GB. Since Maxis is just a broadband services, what's the main point that make you consider it? I am quite curious, or am I mistaken for something? |

QUOTE(ckimsem @ May 26 2020, 02:25 PM) As you have said, you travel a lot, and RLH is somewhat important to you. I still have other Digi lines that can register RLH? Digi Infinite is not my only Digi line. I can add to my existing postpaid when I want to travel just pay RM 30 only and terminate it when I'm not using this service. Since Maxis is just a broadband services, what's the main point that make you consider it? I am quite curious, or am I mistaken for something? Earlier I didn't want to consider Maxis at all because it needs to be combined with fibre plan but since this is a standalone plan I may consider. However, a lot of considerations too because of VoLTE which is useful for Digi. Too early to say now until more people are using it. |

Maxis upcoming VoLTE is with Ericsson network. No news how well it's compatible with Huawei devices in terms of profile settings etc... Their main target will be Apple/Samsung devices.

QUOTE(ckimsem @ May 11 2020, 04:24 PM) It's a waste of money. Why did you so insist on getting B618? … You should try others models. Don’t mind me asking, what’s the different between B525 23a & 65a? Let say for Maxis users.[attachmentid=10489010] It's Huawei B525s-65a, connection on Maxis is quite good/stable with speed of 30-70mbps DL and 8-30mbps UL at my location. Furthermore, it supports a variety of LTE bands, unlocked unit, and even cheaper for RM450~500. |

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ May 27 2020, 02:03 PM) For what I know is the B525s-65a supports more LTE bands which can be used for Unifi Mobile and Unifi Air.For the big 4 telcos, both models would have no issues since they both support LTE band 3 and 7. You may google yourself for further details. This post has been edited by ckimsem: May 27 2020, 06:16 PM |
