Will wait for the card and do some test run. A129 Duo will be able to record more parking stuff ! |

For 70mai, I know it's for the speed shown in the video viewed in the 70mai app and to function the ADAS. Depends if you want to use the ADAS on the 70mai or not. Hi, need advice from sifus here:
1) currently looking at 2 brands - Viofo and Thinkware 2) specifically needing the dashcam both front and rear with parking surveillance 3) both have good features but price-wise, very, VERY different So the main reason for contemplating is whether go with hardwire or battery pack config. if hardwire, definitely will void the warranty so does it worth the risk? since getting a battery pack adds about 1k more, this will burn my pocket even deeper also, is viofo's parking mode good? read online seems OK, but of coz Thinkware much better please dear sifus, advise me |

If GPS is not so important I might consider getting the Viofo 129 without GPS. Top up slightly more get better parking mode. 70 mai pro - International version (RM230 without adas) Viofo 129 without GPS (front only) RM410 Which one ? |

I can say they are about 90%+ like Korean dashcam's true parking mode. Korean dashcams are considered to be a premium dashcam brand. QUOTE(Melto @ Sep 19 2019, 10:09 AM) Thanks, blurjoey. China dashcams' ADAS is somewhat sensitive and annoying. But is the GPS on the ADAS working accurately? I saw in some post the ADAS is not accurate out side CHINA region. Top up slightly more get better parking mode. 70 mai pro - International version (RM230 without adas) Viofo 129 without GPS (front only) RM410 Which one ? For Viofo A129, you can plug the mini USB cable to the GPS mount so it will look neater as the USB port is at the top. If plug to the A129's USB port which is on the right side of the A129 will have a USB cable coming out from the right. But why get A129 front only? Get the A129 Duo during sales is about rm500+ with GPS, HK3 hardwire kit and CPL from grey sellers on Lazada or Shopee. If want front only, get the A119v3 for less than rm500. A119v3 have a much better video quality. This post has been edited by blurjoey: Sep 19 2019, 10:33 AM |

QUOTE(lil twist @ Sep 19 2019, 10:53 AM) The battery pack depends on which model as some is using the power (ciggie) port or hardwire to car fuse.A battery pack is good if you worry about the car battery drain and also the car's warranty. For Thinkware iVolt - BAB-50 is using the power port while BAB-100 is using car fuse. BAB-50 can power 2CH for about 16 hours. BAB-100 can power 2CH for about 36 hours. I set my Thinkware connected via hardwire to power off at either 24 hours or 12v is detected. This post has been edited by blurjoey: Sep 19 2019, 11:04 AM |

Yes, I hardwired it myself to my City 2014. No wire cutting or tapping. Just use the fuse taps with the hardwire kit and City have lots of empty fuse slots to use. Hi sifus, I just finished hardwiring my A119v3, but not sure if it is working correctly...
I wired ACC to the rear accessory socket fuse and battery to the power door locks fuse. I bolted the ground wire to a metal bolt but it's resting against a plastic piece, is that ok? There is a red LED in the voltage control box, and the camera turns on when ignition on, and the red LED turns on solid. When I shut off the car, the red LED blinks rapidly. Does this mean my hardwiring is successful? |

Just hopped back into the car, I noticed that the red LED was solid on, and when I pressed the menu button the screen turned on and there was a motion recording icon. Started the car and it switched to a car recording icon. Turned the car back off and it went back to a motion recording icon but not recording and the red LED blinked rapidly. I think it's working then...Any way to check if the fuse used is correct? ACC fuse only have power when the engine is on. BATT fuse has power when engine is off and on. |
