Viofo A129 Duo is a better buy than Thinkware F200.

Unless you want true Korean parking mode then F200. But F200 is a basic dashcam with the rear cam only 720p.

Thinkware actually stops recording when the app is connected to the dashcam via wifi. That's what all Thinkware dashcams do.

Currently, the A119 v3 is sold out during 9.9 sales for Sicurez.

Can wait for them to re-stock or maybe asked grey sellers in Lazada like KIntos or those China sellers?

Just an update, so far recently it's ok. I guess it's the connection that causes it.

I bought the Viofo A129 Duo + CPL + Hardwire kit from Aliexpress during the 28.8 sale for USD177
It arrived on 6.9 but I wasn't at home so I went to pick it up from the post office on 10.9
I just finished installing it. Took me a few hours


I followed this guide. Very clear instructions
First time for me doing hardwiring.

My first time installing 3 wires hardwire kit also took an hour 1+

What is the recommended voltage setting to select on the hardwire kit?

Heard the USB wifi have durability issue.

Don't like the proprietary JDR file format.

Need to buy the GPS module to use the extra functions.

I set mine at 12v/24v or 48 hours for my Thinkware. If you want to on the safer side, set it at 12.4v or 24 hours instead.

Noted and thanks for the info sifu @bluejoey. I'm looking the dashcam for front and rear with clear image and budget around RM1k++. Any recommendation for me? Plan tomorrow want to install it.

A129 Duo less than rm1k with installations at Sicurez.

Wait a bit later can get A129 Pro which is 4K resolution at around rm1099+.

Higher up can look at Thinkware dashcams. F770 is good.

Anyone using SanDisk A1 microSD cards for some period of time?

I am looking to purchase one of the A1 for dash cam. But still having slight doubts given its previously non-A1 recording issue

using A1 for both my Front Yi car cam and rear 70mai
since Oct 2018

the front one with 128GB have error when start, though it still records well
(suspect compatibility issue with cards 64GB)
and the rear is 64Gb no issue so far

Sandisk Ultra A1 is the improved version of the non-A1.

Durability is like the Samsung Evo Plus when used in dashcams.

Noted. Have you consider warranty for the 128GB instead? Since it's still under warranty.

Good thing is that the speed does not vary much when the card is empty versus almost full.

Write speed is way more than the advertised, definitely 4K capable.

The card reader is part of my 5 years old laptop, so I believe this card can perform better on newer card reader or laptop.
