Ok thanx.
Maybe i can call the installer tech to help cut the fiber.. pay abit..

Btw, i checked unifi portal, and i see there new plan package entitled 300mbps turbo upgrade. But the ecpected date upgrade was aug - dis 20018. That was 1 year ago..

Is im still entitled for turbo?

Good luck. Sell that router and don't use it at all.

Hi, can I ask, do you mean you change from VDSL to fiber, at same place? My house currently still on VDSL, high rise building. Used to be unifi lite, but this year Time, Maxis also can be installed here, so they have fiber. I want to change from VDSL to fiber. How to do that? Currently on unifi advance 30mbps.

My Unifi is 800Mbps, when the technician came all is good and it's tested on their short LAN cable. I bought a 20m Cat6 cable for my desktop and only manage to get 100Mbps.

Yes, I tried everything I could find on Lowyat for solution except replacing the router they gave which is D-Link DIR-842. Should I replace this?

I got some confusion here. I subscribed 30mbps package with 60gb quota early this year.

But recently I found many offers from resellers mostly in facebook, offering the same package but with unlimited quota.

However the offers are only for new applicants only.

Are these offers valid? Even in the official unifi website doesn't have this kind of offer.

Check with the seller properly.

It could be unlimited with fair usage policy.

Technically it is still usable after 60GB.

Yours limited quota must be rm 79 per month (excluding tax), not 89 per month .

I don't know if they twisted the info but as far as I understand it's unlimited usage.

You're right. It's rm79 for the most basic package. But it's only rm10 difference from the unlimited quota package they're offering.

That's the difference. Yours is 79 for 60 gb. the unlimited one is 89.

Hope it clears your understanding.

The unlimited 89 package only offered by resellers.

Unlimited package offered by TM starts with RM129 (100mbps).

login to your router, and see if there's an option to select the speed..

Set to 1000Mbps and still get 100Mbps, I tried the same cheap unknown 20m Cat6 cable brand on my laptop and it's able to achieve 400Mbps. I do think it's cable related problem because I tried on a short Cat6 cable and I'm able to achieve at least 750Mbps as I'm on 800Mbps, I'm currently waiting for Ugreen 20m Cat6 to be delivered and see if this is solved. I installed the latest network driver from Intel and there's 3 test there and I only failed the Cable Test.

TM tech told me (after they solved my router problem) that if I report this and it's not their end of the problem as in it's neither their modem nor router, I'll get charge RM53. So if anyone is facing the same problem as me, do buy a decent cable to test before reporting to TM.

You should have read the 1st page, 1st post, green text. There is a list of reliable cable brands. Never save money to get cheap cable. Get a good cable. I recommend Dintek actually, but Ugreen works too.

Most likely a classic case of copper-clad aluminum cables - I think StuartLee2015 has experienced this issue before icon_idea.gif

Also, poor quality cables may end up causing link speed negotiation issues between the router and the device icon_idea.gif

My cheap short cable is working fine, never thought that it'll be different for a 20m cable. I guess the problems is down to 2 now, either the router DIR-842 which is capable of achieving 300Mbps referring to 1st page but the TM tech can achieve 750Mbps when they checked or cable. Can't find Dintek that's 20m long, so I opt for Ugreen instead since I've been mostly using their brand of cables besides for LAN.
