QUOTE(RegentCid @ Nov 17 2019, 03:01 PM) Worth to visit. Now autumn are perfect for open air of Shibuya Sky. Go by evening and stay until night. It beautiful. Cheers mate, might give it a go on our last day there. On a sidenote, at Kiyomizu now and the leaves are still not at their best yet. A lot of greens amongst some red and orange, I think would be better by the end of the week. |

And yes the main platform is still under renovation. My plan is to go to yasaka, chionin, haeian, fushimi Inari. enough to see maple leaves? early December. If your aim is just to see the platform and leaves then maybe you can skip it due to the 400 Yen entrance fee. The area around is nice though. |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Nov 18 2019, 10:37 AM) Hahaha! Not everyone is a potterhead. But I been to USS and if can, I would go to USJ just for the thematic roller coaster & thrill rides. I believe like USS, each attraction in USJ has some kinda roller coaster or thrill rides? |

QUOTE(Johnslow @ Nov 18 2019, 09:50 AM) Anyone went to both Universal Studies Japan & Singapore? USJ compare to USS (personal opinion)I went to USS before but not sure if I should allocate one day for USJ. 1.) Hollywood Dream The Ride/Backdrop vs Battlestar Galactica - Battlestar got inversion, more thrill. - Hollywood Dream has nice selection of music which hypes up the feeling during ride. (the feeling you get when you see a video montage with vs without music) 2.) Flying Dinosaur vs Canopy flyer - Flying Dinosaur = Canopy flyer on steroids 3.) Spiderman 3D vs Transformer 3D - not much different, but Peter Parker speaks Japanese. 4.) Jurassic Park The Ride vs Jurassic Park Rapid Adv. - same ride Other than that, the rest are all are unique ride you wont be able to ride in USS. **have not been to USJ since Minions opened, so not sure if there is any equivalent to that |

Hi, any recommendation for travel/pocket wifi?
I used to booked with travel recommends, but lately their website is unstable and for some reason i'm not able to make payment for it. So i'm wondering is there any other travel wifi services? Thanks |

If you are going in spring or autumn, the temperature difference alone makes it almost an entirely different experience. Whereas USS is hot and humid and if it’s a sunny day you need to dodge from shade to shade, USJ it’s super enjoyable to walk and explore outdoors. |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Nov 18 2019, 02:22 PM) 2 theme in USJ that will make it worth Thx i've been to Tokyo Disney 10 years ago and very impressed by the crew's enthusiasm and joy they exuberant with the guest. I went from opening to closing (10pm i think) and the crew was just so joyous and wonderful even to the closing time when they wave goodbye. When I was in USS I really found that same element missing from the crew.1. harry potter 2. minion these 2 USJ don't have and is super crowded not sure abt USJ because the last time i go was way long ago japanese theme park, if u go near festive season like christmas, holloweeen...they have a lot of extra show, rides, activities, street show..etc etc been to disneysea, recently USJ...pretty blown away by their theme park not sure abt USS but in USJ...u will get wet...1 way or the other Not much of a trill ride person, in USS i remember going for the Shriek 4D, Hollywood action show, Transformers (twice), waterworld show(twice too). In USS I took the combo ticket with the aquarium and afternoon i went there for 2-3 hours. Perhaps I can fill up the whole day in USJ since there is more stuff there. And I will be bringing my mom, so she perhaps more keen on taking photos in Hogsworth. |

Hey I just reached Osaka recently!
So many drugstores/pharmacies at shopping streets (Ebi suji, Shinsai, Sennichimae) @ Namba area... Which drugstore/pharmacy overall is one of the cheapest to get skin care/beauty products? Because there are like 1001 of such stores so maybe we can an indication of which shops to look at. Also, should we buy our sweets/chocolates/souvenirs at Osaka or at Kyoto? We're scared that there are not many choices or it's more expensive in Kyoto |
