Not so sure about bitrate but on the New Black STB, I've tried changing the display resolution to 4k2k-50hz (3840x2160/50p) but it still blurry (Love Nature channel 502 which supposedly support 4k). I even change it to it's optimal resolution which is 4k2k-60hz (3840x2160/60p) but still blurry. Now I compare with Youtube 4k quality video and the difference is like night and day. Heck, I even change back to the White STB with 1080i-50hz (1920x1080/50i) and it still clearer compare to the 4k quality. It could be the upscaling but dunno. Maybe my configuration is wrong or my TV or maybe TM have yet to optimise the 4k setting but it is quite dissapointing. Hopefully more updates to fix this issue.

If the new STB / Android TV app (com.tm.unifitv) is indeed using the same video stream as the new playTV (com.tm.playtv) app, then there is no 4K for Love Nature. In fact there is not even HD... Not even proper SD... It's just 977kbps. So even SD channels will look better than it and of course the old white or silver STB will look way better since Love Nature is proper 1080i quality there.
In this case there is no need for me to bother about the new STB or Android TV app. Just continue to use the white STB on VLAN600 with the new interface and proper 1080i quality.

yes, i think u will be right.... seems they wanna get out of this vlan thingy and go like netflix.
TM likely won't phase out the VLAN anytime soon since all white and silver STBs use it on Unifi and they even bother to redesign the UI.

How abt if we get the new white STB from online then will be auto migrate to new account?
Get white STB from elsewhere won't be usable on Unifi. Need the IPTV login and password (not the playTV one) as well as register STB MAC address in TM system.
When used on Unifi, all the silver and white STBs use the same account and VLAN, have the same video quality and have channel numbers. The new black STB is the only different one.
