Anyone having the issue where you are subscribed to Aneka Plus Pack?
I hardly open my unifi TV.

So TM will not provide the STB Box, what is the best way to watch Unifi TV on your TV? You can only install on phone and desktop (only on IE), and not on android box.

Sure this is possible but not practical. You normally sit on couch which is quite far from your TV. Cable is messy and difficult for you to change channel without remote.
I hope TM can explain why they stop provide STB box cause most people still use TV to watch live channel. Mobile apps is good but as an alternative for people watch live tv on the move.

Very inconvenient for older non-tech savvy folks if no STB. 

unifi@play tv dispear at google playstore & apple store. CS told me, unifi@playtv in maintenance. next week tm will be announcement bout new apps for change unifi@play tv.

Hello guys,

I need some advice on why the white HyppTV STB suddenly cannot get the IP address. Other devices have no issues to connect to the internet. Attached are some screenshots on the STB network tests.

The WIFI is ON and LAN is connected to port 4 on the D-LINK (Model Name: DIR-842) router. I tried an old STB from Streamyx days and it can get the IP but had issues on configuring the username/password. TM says need to rebind so cannot use the old STB. I have restarted all devices. TM want to charge Rm53 for sending someone over.

Anything I can do for this STB to get the IP address ? Thank you.




Update: Fixed by changing a new STB.

The STB needs some time to start-up the system. Just wait for the yellow icon with the "!" symbol to disappear before launching the live-TV mode.

But not surprised if it means 10 year old customer.. it is 10 years for me this year.

chienese ch, quality is drop. not full HD, tm give 576i  SD. when TM can give Full HD for all channel in Unifi TV.

Some channels long ago is in HD but suddenly become SD while channel name still have "HD" at the back.

Press home button to exit Unifi TV app, then go Settings.
There, go to Display and change the resolution settings.

Indeed, not all channels are in HD on unifi TV. But channels like Fox Movies should be in HD...

Also, on the menus of Unifi TV app (as shown as your photo attached), go to settings (gear icon), then change the "Aspect ratio" setting to 16:9.

In addition, to further complicate things and cause more framerate mismatch, there are movies and dramas filmed in 24FPS. This is probably why some movies on 201 and some dramas on 211 look even more jerky. Probably undergone double conversion, 24p -> 60i -> 50i, so messed up already.
Mine is not STB issue, the STB is outputting 1080i50 all the time for sure and only those several channels are in SD. Other HD channels are in good HD quality. So the problem is in TM's encoding of the channel. The channels have problem in the playTV app as well and you can notice that even the LPF logo is in wrong aspect ratio proving that TM is handling those HD channels as SD 4:3 channels instead of HD 16:9.

Long ago when I complained to TM, they asked me restart STB and check HDMI cable etc and want send people to come check but no one ever came so I gave up and posted here.

The list is in this thread but I haven't check recently so I don't know if there are any more changes. Someone mentioned some movie channels became SD recently in the other thread too.

I think it's free if you renew the 12 months Unifi TV's contract. This STB has higher performance compared to the previous white one. New features (including apps (Netflix & Dimsum), DVR, 4K, Dolby Digital and new channels) are expectedly integrated into the new STB. 

Unifi TV is 1 year contract. You could terminate it after that.

I did mine couple weeks ago and keep my Unifi broadband only.

You could do it online, but better to do it at TM Point office to avoid any confusion.

ya lo, so now instead of going channel by channel or remember the channel number, any1 know any method to switch channel faster?

The new hypp TV interface on the white set top box is so difficult to navigate. Gone is the feature where I can select the channel from a list of tiles. It has become so cumbersome that I may abandon using it permanently.
