QUOTE(man @ Jan 26 2019, 08:54 PM) Yes you can provided the 2nd unit STB has a valid user id and password from another Unifi Account. You cannot use the same user id and password for both STBs. QUOTE(chamelion @ Jan 28 2019, 11:28 PM) Anyone having the issue where you are subscribed to Aneka Plus Pack? Were you subscribed to Aneka package previously?I hardly open my unifi TV. From bill received, i realise i am subscribed to Aneka Plus package... If YES, it was auto upgraded. If NO, then you have to check with TM. |

QUOTE(bond7484 @ Feb 11 2019, 10:01 AM) Sure this is possible but not practical. You normally sit on couch which is quite far from your TV. Cable is messy and difficult for you to change channel without remote. Lol. That was one alternative way to watch on the tv. I hope TM can explain why they stop provide STB box cause most people still use TV to watch live channel. Mobile apps is good but as an alternative for people watch live tv on the move. Do you mean that even when you subscribe to Ultimate pack, they also don’t supply the STB anymore? Unifi PlayTv doesn’t get to watch all the channels as the STB. |

QUOTE(GregPG01 @ Jun 30 2019, 11:55 PM) Hello guys, Of late I also encountered this problem.I need some advice on why the white HyppTV STB suddenly cannot get the IP address. Other devices have no issues to connect to the internet. Attached are some screenshots on the STB network tests. The WIFI is ON and LAN is connected to port 4 on the D-LINK (Model Name: DIR-842) router. I tried an old STB from Streamyx days and it can get the IP but had issues on configuring the username/password. TM says need to rebind so cannot use the old STB. I have restarted all devices. TM want to charge Rm53 for sending someone over. Anything I can do for this STB to get the IP address ? Thank you. ![]() ![]() Update: Fixed by changing a new STB. I also noticed this icon at the bottom right corner of the tv. Now I have to wait for about 80 seconds after I start up the STB. After the 80 seconds wait, everything is back to normal. Not sure what is the cause. |

QUOTE(Mr Loh A+ @ Jul 11 2019, 05:01 PM) The STB needs some time to start-up the system. Just wait for the yellow icon with the "!" symbol to disappear before launching the live-TV mode. Earlier (before July 2019) I don't have to wait. Switch ON the STB, then switch ON the tv. On the STB remote, press OK and then press Exit, can change channel immediately. Now have to wait for the Yellow icon to disappear then only can press OK and Exit. |

QUOTE(amirul hafizz @ Oct 23 2019, 02:43 PM) chienese ch, quality is drop. not full HD, tm give 576i SD. when TM can give Full HD for all channel in Unifi TV. QUOTE(AV_2018 @ Oct 23 2019, 05:29 PM) Ya... like that for very long time already... Already mentioned few times in this thread since long ago... Once I also noticed some of the channels were not in full HD.Some channels long ago is in HD but suddenly become SD while channel name still have "HD" at the back. No matter what settings I used, still cannot get full HD. Then I noticed the STB was not connected in 1080p when it boot up. It was booted up with 576i only. Have to report to TM on the issue. Don't know what they did, the STB booted up with 1080p. |

QUOTE(joshhd @ Oct 24 2019, 09:43 AM) Press home button to exit Unifi TV app, then go Settings. Tried all the settings on the resolution part. Nothing works. There, go to Display and change the resolution settings. Indeed, not all channels are in HD on unifi TV. But channels like Fox Movies should be in HD... Also, on the menus of Unifi TV app (as shown as your photo attached), go to settings (gear icon), then change the "Aspect ratio" setting to 16:9. It was TM side. They changed something on their side. |

QUOTE(AV_2018 @ Oct 24 2019, 10:44 AM) In addition, to further complicate things and cause more framerate mismatch, there are movies and dramas filmed in 24FPS. This is probably why some movies on 201 and some dramas on 211 look even more jerky. Probably undergone double conversion, 24p -> 60i -> 50i, so messed up already. Can you list down the HD channels that went to SD?Mine is not STB issue, the STB is outputting 1080i50 all the time for sure and only those several channels are in SD. Other HD channels are in good HD quality. So the problem is in TM's encoding of the channel. The channels have problem in the playTV app as well and you can notice that even the LPF logo is in wrong aspect ratio proving that TM is handling those HD channels as SD 4:3 channels instead of HD 16:9. Long ago when I complained to TM, they asked me restart STB and check HDMI cable etc and want send people to come check but no one ever came so I gave up and posted here. |

QUOTE(AV_2018 @ Oct 24 2019, 11:23 AM) The list is in this thread but I haven't check recently so I don't know if there are any more changes. Someone mentioned some movie channels became SD recently in the other thread too. Yes, you are correct. Some of the HD channels are not HD anymore.Edit: post 527 has links to the lists in red colour. Edit2: additional channels that might be facing same issue: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=94344433 |

QUOTE(Mr Loh A+ @ Nov 16 2019, 12:17 PM) I think it's free if you renew the 12 months Unifi TV's contract. This STB has higher performance compared to the previous white one. New features (including apps (Netflix & Dimsum), DVR, 4K, Dolby Digital and new channels) are expectedly integrated into the new STB. Thanks for your reply.Looking forward to its launch. |

QUOTE(gaman @ Dec 13 2019, 04:33 PM) Unifi TV is 1 year contract. You could terminate it after that. This is good news to many subscribers who don't watch Unifi Tv.I did mine couple weeks ago and keep my Unifi broadband only. You could do it online, but better to do it at TM Point office to avoid any confusion. |

QUOTE(holymushroom @ Dec 16 2019, 12:24 PM) ya lo, so now instead of going channel by channel or remember the channel number, any1 know any method to switch channel faster? QUOTE(kwokwah @ Dec 17 2019, 09:35 AM) The new hypp TV interface on the white set top box is so difficult to navigate. Gone is the feature where I can select the channel from a list of tiles. It has become so cumbersome that I may abandon using it permanently. I always use the Guide button to see the programs on all the channels. |
