If compared to STB on Unifi, big difference in video quality and the app can't change subtitles. In the app, subtitles are hardcoded Malay but on Unifi STB can switch between off, English, Malay, Chinese. The app is kind of similar to the STB on Streamyx.

By the way, anyone notice a Netflix entry in the VOD>Purchased>MyPackages section of the playTV app?

Only Unifi TV via STB on Unifi can change subtitle. Press subtitle button on remote then press arrow left or right to change. Press enter to confirm and make the UI disappear.

So TM keep removing channels without adding any new ones or reducing price and the last time I checked a few Chinese HD channels are still in SD quality. By the way, where's the free Netflix they mentioned when TM made deal with Netflix back in August 2017? Have a Netflix entry added in VOD>Purchased>MyPackages section of the playTV app but no way to access.

I compiled the list of currently available channels on Unifi TV (using STB on Unifi). Bracket HD means the channel name doesn't contain HD but is actually HD and bracket SD means the channel name has HD but it is actually SD quality only.

Yes, it has been like that for a long time. If you search this thread it has been mentioned long ago. Already reported to TM but nothing changed.

Chinese channels have been in SD for over a year at least and most likely way longer. Last year and now.

PlayStore phone version only detected as trojan by one engine. If it's not flagged by the other well known Antivirus engines then should be false positive.

Noticed the STB now have Netflix in list of installed apps. It's not shown in the launcher or unifi TV app though. Maybe they are finally giving the free Netflix access soon.

Update: Noticed there is now a Netflix ESN in the system info in the settings of this STB too.

No Wi-Fi needed. Update can be through Ethernet on VLAN 600 as usual. Mine updated without Wi-Fi as I don't use the box for anything other than watching unifi TV.

All built-in features such as Iflix can be accessed in Unifi TV. It's under Interactive > TV apps > Iflix.
Netflix might be coming soon too. It's already pre installed in the box and the box has a Netflix ESN assigned.

Yes... As I've mentioned in previous posts.... Not only got Netflix pre installed but the STB also has a Netflix ESN and there is a Netflix entry in my account's purchased packages section. Hope free access is coming soon. It's been two years since TM signed a deal with Netflix.

Seems for Streamyx mode, via Internet/WiFi, the IP is 210.187.xx.xx:8082, whereas for Unifi mode, via Ethernet VLAN600, the IP is 10.0.xx.xx:8082.

The big difference in latest upgrade besides GUI is Netflix integration [Netflix and Netflix Dial (running as background app) installed as system apps as well as Netflix ElectronicSerialNumber(ESN) assigned to STB] but it is yet to be activated.

Usually when this appear, just select a device to remove then can sign in new device. But your list seems blank and it shows zero devices limit. So it seems either you no longer have access to playTV or there is something wrong with your account.

It doesn't have built-in casting. If use Miracast or Google cast, only certain channels like TV1 works. The others will appear 'playback error due to output blocking' even though the TV's Miracast supports HDCP.

What do you mean by lagging? If you mean framerate not smooth it may be due to framerate mismatch - some countries use 60Hz rate while Malaysia broadcast uses 50Hz rate.

If the channels really use 30FPS then there will really be framerate mismatch because the STB by default outputs at 25FPS/50Hz.

Here's the Unifi TV STB upgrade server IP in case anyone with older firmware need it.

STB in Unifi mode and connected to VLAN600:
10.0.194.158:8082

STB in Streamyx mode and connected to Internet:
210.187.19.170:8082

Need http:// infront of the address.
Take note after upgrade to latest or second latest firmware no longer can edit the server address.

As far as I know it is greyed out on second latest as well as latest firmwares. In that case it should be the correct address based on the STB mode that is set (Unifi/Streamyx toggle). Make sure STB is connected to correct router port for the respective mode and the STB should auto upgrade when it's your turn to get the upgrade. For Unifi mode it has to be connected to VLAN600 network (usually port 4 on router) as the upgrade IP is 10.xx which is a private IP that's only accessible from within the IPTV network.

Some channels long ago is in HD but suddenly become SD while channel name still have "HD" at the back.
