The new Unifi TV box seems to support multi-room usage due to its WiFI only support up to 5 boxes if you want (HyppTV app limitation using the same account) and no longer needs separate VLAN setting (no wired LAN anymore). In this setup, you need a better performing WIFI router to handle the total bandwidth.

Stupid. An update! Since the developer replied, then will elaborate further. I'm using it on my android box which I use to stream legally paid content.(netflix, iflix, astro go). I installed the tablet version of your app on my device. There is a problem during login. I can't click login after i keyed in the codes sent to my phone. The buttons was way below and your apps can't scroll further down. Thats the stupid things. No offense sir.

Nice app for on the go entertainment. I hope you can make app for Android TV like Sony because there're some package that doesn't have box included, by doing this people can use playtv service on any compatible tv and can use the service even further.....I hope this can make unifi playtv great IPTV provider in Malaysia....

Is that the old version? The new one has the "new" banner in the icon. Still, these apps are meant for mobile phones and tablets... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tm.playtv

The one suitable for Android TV is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tm.unifitv

However, the Android TV version is targeted for the new black Unifi Plus STB owners (Skyworth Android TV OEM device). Trying to install it on other Android TV smart TV or devices, it will not run (Not available in this device). Someone has shared the modded version, I tried it on Sony Bravia Android TV KD-49X8300C and it worked.

The modded Android TV 1.1.6 version has an issue finding the correct resolution size to fit the TV resolution on my KD-49x8300C. This issue doesn't affect normal TV channels like TV1, TV2, TV3, NTV7, 8TV, TV9, but it affects channels like Animax, TvN, Salam, etc.

I couldn't find the posts that share this modded Unifi TV app version 1.1.10 for Android TV: can you share the link to this APK file?

I only have the previous modded version 1.1.6. It has a resolution detection issue for some Unifi TV channels when installed on Sony Bravia Android-TV like KD-49x8300C.

Ok, there are two modded files for Unifi TV version 1.1.6 for Android TV:

For both modded versions, it works fine on KD-49X8300c. No issue with standard Unifi TV package channels like TV1, Tv2, TV3, etc. An issue with incorrect resolution detection for Unifi TV package-specific channels like Animax, TvN, etc.

There are two modded files for Unifi TV version 1.1.10 for Android TV:

For 1.1.10 Mod V1 => works fine on KD-49X8300c. No issue with standard Unifi TV package channels like TV1, Tv2, TV3, etc. No more issue with incorrect resolution detection for Unifi TV package-specific channels like Animax, TvN, etc, except repeated blinking every 2s interval for three times only.

For 1.1.10 Mod V2 => works fine on KD-49X8300c. No issue with standard Unifi TV package channels like TV1, Tv2, TV3, etc. No more issue with incorrect resolution detection for Unifi TV package-specific channels like Animax, TvN, etc, except continuous blinking every 2s interval.

So, for KD-49x8300C Sony Bravia Android TV, The 1.1.10 Mod V1 is the stable one.

None as far I as know...You need to ask TM/Unifi for Web OS TV support.

i see.

i chatted with unifi, was told:

.. the box IS required to activate; cannot activate with phone or Android TV.

.. the box will arrive within 5-7 working days. dry.gif

Of course, the arrival of the box signifies that your Unifi TV account is now active for your Unifi TV package.

But, I don't even need the Unifi TV box to activate the streaming apps. Just visit the following website to activate the streaming apps available in my Unifi TV package:

Step 1: Download MyUnifi app on your mobile device or visit Unifi portal at https://selfcare.unifi.com.my/ and log in with your registered email address.
Step 2: Select “Account” from Menu and choose the relevant Unifi Home account. Then, select “My Entertainment” to activate the bundled streaming app(s).
Step 3: After activation is successful, you can enjoy the streaming apps on Unifi Plus Box or directly from the streaming app(s) [sic: installed on your devices such as your phone, tablet, and Android TV].

Each streaming app activation from that website requires an email address/phone number to be linked to our streaming app account. I simply use the same information from my Unifi TV user account.

If you click the above card, you should be directed to this page: https://selfcare.unifi.com.my/service/tvapp...y-entertainment (Due to a possible typo, the original link will result in a 404 page; you must remove the apostrophe sign at the end.)

If you haven't activated any of the streaming apps in your Unifi TV bundle list, the Activate button will display on the right side.

If you can't access the above page, then your Unifi TV account is not active.

An important warning after u subscribed Ultimate Max, likely same for Ultimate Plus:

In yr spam email, u may notice a mail from a suspicious entity saying your netflix ACC had been suspended, ask u to click in a link to facilitate payment.

In yr SMS, u may get a similar msg saying u need to verify this n that, call this or visit that.

These are scam attempts as u can tell. I rec'd one each.

The curious thing is how these scammers get to know yr new subscription so quickly. Something to ponder, to speculate...

Haha, the scam email address uses netflix.con domain instead of netflix.com domain

UPB gen 1 can watch Netflix. Just enable netflix on setting. or can download from google play store UPB gen 1.

Please hide your device's Netflix ESN...it is your unique serial number

"An ESN, or Netflix Electronic Serial Number, is a globally-unique identifier for each device. Even if you have two of the same TVs at home: same brand, model and year, and they both have the Netflix TV app installed, they do not have the same ESN."

Hackers can use that in a modded Netflix app to run on uncertified devices
