hi sifus....need some advise...i been with prudential since 2000 (minimal plan)...now I am reviewing and been advised for a new plan (1M) with deductible plan 20K since my earlier plan can cover that amount but up to age 70. I am also being quoted prulink asia managed fund (AMF). age now 46 non-smoker
Is deductible plan ok?
is AMF fund good in performance?
if you can cover every first 20k of the bill, then i see no issue on it. so long you know what coverage you are getting for.
PRULink Asia Managed Fund. What do you mean by "being quoted prulink asia managed fund"? basically it is a purchase of unit trust funds from Prudential. Can't comment much on that because it still depends on your investment planning towards your own financial goal.

Ya , first 1 or 2 month back I received the letter saying they have to increase the price of my package due to current times. Then few days ago I received the yearly payment notice letter which in it already have the new increased priced. But yesterday when I went over to pay at the insurance office the lady after keying my name into the system at fist quoted me the figure I have to pay was my old before price increase amount. But by that time I already handed over my money, only after awhile she changed something in the system. Didn't ask her anything bcs just by looking at her bad mood/rude face I know I wouldn't get a proper answers out from her.
if can, check and see is there any changes in the plan benefits after the premium increment.

So the amount you end up paying for ilp and standalone medical plan are about the same?
not really. its very subjective to determine like that.

I got a medical card with Allianz (umsir200) but it comes with an exception- Ovarian Cyst (that's what they wrote in the policy). So earlier this year, I tried to use the card for uterine fibroid operations, but it was rejected. Lucky I got company insurance to cover for the operation.
Now I got a bit worry. If they don't cover Ovarian Cyst, does that mean they don't cover uterine fibroids? Because for me, ovary is different organ from uterus although they are part of reproductive system. Does that mean my whole reproductive system won't be cover by the medical card? What happen if the worst thing happens and I got cancer in one of those organs (ovary, uterus, cervix). Does that mean they won't cover it too?
Talked with customer service before I submit I give the card details to the hospital, and you know la their answer- they couldn't give an actual answer and just advise to submit the application to them. I wish they could properly listed down the exception in the policy rather than just give me two words like that.
what is the exact clause about the exclusion? there must be a full clause for it.

Anyone knows about Great Eastern Great Flexi Plus? Can share some on the pros and cons?
if you already have your own system of forced savings, then its better to ignore this plan.
