Want to know currently, I am paying monthly. Is it good to switch to yearly? If pay in annually, is the cash value different big?
*
I’ll recommend you to pay monthly as u can practise dollar cost averaging if this is an Investment linked product.

If traditional then strongly recommend to pay yearly as u can save up to 5% on it.

Hi

Need recomendation, was thinking to buy termlife insurance with ci coverage. Anyone can recommend which company is good?
*
Do check up all the respective provider websites on term life and CI. The CI is standalone unable to attach to life. They only accept clean case which mean no medical conditions record.

hmm.gif may I suggest that you try these googled sites
medical insurance premium calculator malaysia
https://www.google.com/search?q=medical+ins...iw=1920&bih=963

then check out the required insurance TYPE and the PREMIUM that needs to be paid monthly not forgetting that your income is RM2500 per month.

how much can you afford to spend on insurance premium per months after taking consideration of your current monthly needs and the needs of the foreseeable next 3~5 yrs. (like car, house, marry, etc)
btw, have you saved about 6 months of emergency fund? if not how long and how much do you need to save per month to do that?

sometimes many things are "GOOD" to have in life....but not many can have those "GOOD" to have things......Well that is life.

if got extra time, take a look at this googled site for I think this is a good basic site to start learn about insurance....

BNM only imposed certain ILP product structured changes that benefits policyholders, not really revising the premiums. no one can guarantee the premiums for the newly structured ILP after June. better to wait for official plan launched from different companies. Agents will only know after generating the new product PDS.

I'm assuming that you are referring to ILP plans since you mentioned about cash value. if so, paying monthly and paying yearly doesn't make any major difference in cash value.

Family plan is not applicable since you are an adult now working.

It's recommended that you take up as an individual policy which is cheaper than a family plan.

As for your parents, depending on their budget and health status, they can opt for either term or ILP

I'm under GE's i-Great Damai. Rm200 per month for me alone is maybe a bit too much, + since I started working, dad has been pushing the family expenses to me. Maybe if there was something bundled for all 3 of us then can be OK.

Not really sure what they're both on, think they forgot already, just pay since autodeduct from respective accounts

in this case, have to look for something bundle and affordable for current financial status. meanwhile check what they have. they might/might not have medical card. if they have already then at least you can focus on the next planning.

Hi kidmad,

Premium is determined by the following:

Date of birth:
Occupation:
Smoker/Nonsmoker:

and also the coverage you get and sustainability of the ILP. Depending on the information above and what you want, RM400 could be a lot or could be very little.

Best,

looking at the brochure.....

why not select the PLAN 150 instead of Plan 200?

there are some differences in coverage, but would save much from the premium, if that is your concern/priority in selecting this A plus health plan.

there is a tips from that brochure too..
Tip: You can also enjoy lower premium, with our deductible option of RM300 per disability

https://www.aia.com.my/content/dam/my/en/do...0(Compiled).pdf

note this too....
06 WILL MY COST OF INSURANCE INCREASE AS I GET OLDER?
As the Cost of Insurance for A-Plus Health is deducted depending on your attained age, it will increase as your age increases.

else you can ask your agent to suggest other affordable insurance plan that suit your current and future needs at the budget that is comfortable to you now and future.
goto to AIA website .....seek out the available plans,...get more info and prepare some homework and knowledge before asking your agent....

I suppose the premium is set at RM400 as such as:

- Annual coverage is relatively high

- Sustainability

If you are concern about your premium, suggest you talk to the agent and adjust it to a comfortable amount. There is definitely some room to work around.

Hi. Is it true the cost of insurance will increase in July? If yes, is it advisable to get it before June?
