from the various threads, the ones that can do unifi playtv, by default, are himedia, minix, shieldtv, mibox intl/s and smart 4k tv's using androidtv os.

there are others who say they hide root, use magisk, can do also.

QUOTE(Micky78 @ Jan 24 2019, 09:32 PM)
blocked by telco?

surely no. something to do with firmware compatibility.

a similar thing happens with astrogo app.

so, if u want these apps, do some work to get the right box that will work.

Yes, if your box supports. 2 devices at the same time. 3mbps is enough. Quality is that bad. tongue.gif

I also plan to purchase another android box, but looking H96 max looking spec quite ok..
Is it can support unifi playtv for H96? Look from various threads, no mention about that..
At least I can install for Teamviewer for quicksupport if I'm outstation when family don't know how to use box if something changes on box tv...

that, i don't know...

u will have to search and pm the users of the specific model to confirm.

some models may work while other models of the same brand will not.

so, do check and buy the right one... if not u will have to buy again! biggrin.gif

Hi guys i just bought a new tp link c5400x router to get the turboed speed 500mbps. Based on the wired connection speed test, I just merely get around 100mbps download speed. Did I miss anything with my setup? I am using Cat5e cable with alcatel lucent I240g. Should I call them to ask them to check my upgrade status?

If router is still ancient L7-N-R2000 and got turboed already will TM replace FOC without extending contract? I know BTU will replace, but I think router won't, or need to extend?

Highly likely will extend. Better buy your own router.

just got 800Mb/s turbo as i tried to get the new 100Mb/s package. Download speed 300Mb/s seems to be a problem with TM's backbone as it just wont max out my router. Fastest i achieved was while using a public btest server against my router with 600Mb/s burst (the server has a low limit) with below 400Mb/s normal using UDP.

Sadly paying 300+ a month cry.gif cant even downgrade hypptv to save rm 30.

Cut throat right? That's how TM treat customers paying premium price and early adopters. Else, i wont be paying rm149 for merely 10Mbps previously. That's how cunning they are. Ya, i dare them sue ppl for libel for saying so.

I believe most share the same feelings as me whereby one can tolerate not giving price reduction, but giving subpar value of service obtainable with cheaper monthly fee, means they never upgrade your speed to match latest offerings while still charging u same price b4 new rate is introduced.

System error message's hypptv lesser channel than yours, i think, while paying more than you.

Change to Cat 6 cable, and test your BTU. Something is throttling your connection to 100Mbps, and it could be your BTU or the cable itself

Nope. They will extend contract if they change FOC, or you can choose to pay RM188 for their stock TM router, which is very basic. Get your own and set it up yourself.

Memang will extend. Better to get your own dual band router if you want better WiFi speed performance.

How could I check with whether they are throttling my connection and test my BTU?

just migrate from unifi to maxis today. maxis reuse the TM modem so just bring the form to TM to terminate in few days time. anyway wanna ask, for the white box to play unifi TV, can that box reuse? for example my sister home last time subscribe the unifi lite (10Mbps, after that turbo upgrade to 100Mbps) and did not have the white box to view unifi tv, need to use app and everytime need to login. wanna ask, that white box can be use in my sister home to view unifi TV? if can, how to configure the setting?

btest server by idahotom? It's in the US so can't expect much. Try a test with mirror.0x.sg.

Gotten my C3150 to throw off my c1200 smile.gif blazing fast speeds... Yummeh...

Too bad the shop doesn't have c4000... Oh well hahaha

Side note, do anyone have any idea to remove the @unifi for ssid in c1200? Feel like placing it on second floor for AP purpose only.

my hypptv channel is ultimate, thats why i want to downgrade it next month if possible, because if i switch to the new 100mb/s package i get option to just go with basic hypptv, saving rm 30 a month, which will then meann rm 269 +SST per month on my current turbo package. Didnt get a choice when i subscribed.

Even slower than the public btest. The FTP you mentioned for 1.9GB took a few minutes around 100Mb/s, server box connected via 4x intel gigabit server NIC that i used to test, will retest with a proper FTP client for multi connection.

Testing with btest gave me close to 400Mb/s (between 200-400Mb/s depending on time) with 1s bursts of 600+Mb/s using UDP.
