A favor to ask from you guys here who are on Unifi 100Mbps (or 800Mbps).

Any chance anyone could share with me your Unifi bill? I'm writing a complaint to mcmc and need a proof that others are paying less. Not that I'm aiming to get mine reduced as much as possible, just that enough to be in the average of others getting. I don't need any of your details or address, as long as I can show a bill with a price lot less than mine then its good.

I know I'm not the one who are paying RM329 for my Unifi and I know this is a long shot but worth a try nevertheless.

Appreciate your kind soul who could help my cause.

Let start with your laptop, answer these few questions:

1) Did you update the laptop bios?

2) Win10 which version? 1803 or 1809?

Hi,

My experience with C3150 v2, to get high speed these settings are needed :

1. Advanced --> QoS --> Application Priority --> Set to Standard

2. Advanced --> QoS --> Device Priority --> All set to OFF.

3. Advanced --> Security --> Antivirus --> All set to OFF.

4. Advanced --> Security --> Settings --> Set SPI Firewall to ON.

5. Advanced --> Security --> Settings --> Set DoS Protection to OFF.

With the above settings I'm able to get wired DL - 524 Mbps/ UL - 102 Mbps.

I'm with 500 Turbo-ed.

Very well, download appropriate 'new' microcode update for your laptop

2018-08 Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4346084)

and install it. Reboot.
Then run RWeverything and check if the PATCH ID changed from 84 to 96. (Technically, the latest microcode from intel is version 9A.)

If it is 96, then run TM speedtest, you should be able to reach 800Mbps via wired.

Those are mostly default option and my settings are identical with yours.

Mine same like his and no issue. I don't see any of my CPU cores reaching 100%...

Probably your laptop CPU isn't listed in microsoft database.

EDIT: it had came into my attention you mentioned the laptop is i7-8750H....., 4346084 should be able to install properly....unless your win10 version isn't 1803? hmm.gif

Wanna go old registry method to disable it?
KB4346084 is pretty much 'beta' by microsoft.

Need to disable spectre protection. Reboot is required.

Normally, I would suggest deleting mcupdate_GenuineIntel.dll from system32, but since you mentioned you had updated the bios, this is not an option.

Impossible........when you run speedtest 800Mbps or LAN data transfer stuff, there will be one core/thread maxed utilization with haswell microcode 24 on win10. laugh.gif

Apparently the Dlink DIR615 was factory reset by itself. Not sure how does this happen.

So today I went back to my parent house with my laptop, login into the router setting and enable the wifi. But still no internet connection. And I have to live chat again with Unifi, found out that the router setting was reset back to default setting.

Request a password reset and surprisingly the sms arrive almost immediately after the CS reset the password for me. Key in the username and password, voila the internet is back online again~

Thank you for those who have putting in suggestion....

TM suddenly gave me RM30 x 10 months rebate because of my complaint to MCMC

since last year Nov 2017, i pay RM189 for 100Mbps (promotion upgrade from 50Mbps RM179 + RM10)

then my bills show UniFi 100Mbps RM99, Ultimate RM60 and Ruby RM30
recently i complaint to MCMC that TM charge me extra and refuse to remove Ruby

these few days TM call me inform me will rebate RM300 (RM30 x 10 months) into my accounts by next bill
my UniFi is actually upgraded to 500Mbps near end of October 2018 (my UniFi package suppose entitle 800Mbps upgrade), somehow they only give me 500Mbps and reduce package price to RM159 after they remove Ruby, now my UniFi 500Mbps bills is somehow like this according to TM CS => UniFi 500Mbps RM99, Ultimate Package RM60, total RM159

i actually went to TM point and ask to change my Ultimate to Ruby, but unable to do so, due to promotion upgrade from 50Mbps to 100Mbps on Nov 2017 actually have 2 years contract for HyyppTV (but my UniFi is no contract), so i have to wait until Nov 2019 only can switch package... possible to become RM129 for 500Mbps + Ruby sweat.gif

So what happen on the 11th month? Back to RM189 again?

Now TM reduce your price to RM159 because of 500MB turbo, shouldn't it be RM 129 on your following 10 months bill?

I answered you coz I am sure there is throttling becoz there is lots of difference in the download speed before and after my line is Turbo'ed.

But I just stating from my personal experience, I do not owe you any explanation/response. If you believe then take it, else just leave it.

no idea haha, now is RM159 for UniFi 500Mbps + Ultimate... i try to change to Ruby, but not possible til my HyppTV contract ends on Nov 2019

i know some get RM129 for 500Mbps, but not with Ultimate, but my STB is sleeping all the while, never use
