IMHO, abit KN9SLI is better. if u dont wanna SLI mobo, can just try Abit KN9 Ultra or KN9S..but KN9 ultra hard to find nowadays, just go for KN9S.. nod.gif
maybe u can try biostar mobo??they got easy bios and have a lot of ocing features.... icon_idea.gif

internal display will take some ram to operate.. so if u have money to buy a lot of ram. it doesnt effect anything

hi..
i'm using a 4000+ brisbane 65w chip paired with biostar's tf-7050..

how do i set the FSB:DRAM thing? what shd be the ideal setting? currently running 240mhz bus on stock voltage and stock cooling. FSB:DRAM showing CPU/11 = 229MHz.. what does this mean?? what shd the ideal number be like?

all i did was adjust the bus frequency and set the HT to 4x. Ram was locked to 400mhz. is there anything else that i should set to get the optimal overclocking at this speed?

1st of all...
CPU/11 means ur cpu clock speed divided bt the number...
in ur case is 2519/11...

ideal...
i dun think ideal is the same for everyone...

i just did a benchmark FYI.
3dMark06 - SM2 : 156 points (gulp)

AMD x2 @ 2400
Shared ram - 256mb
PC ram - 1.8gb @ 795Mhz
GPU OC to 500Mhz.

I'd say it will not do much lol...

put it like this..
gaming: 1gb is enough
gaming: quality is important

normal usage: 2gb wasting
normal usage: gc wasting

bro xixo, i think for now gaming with 1gb only min requirement. 2gb is good enough. moreover if using vista, 1gb not enough as gaming will be a bit lag...experienced this b4... doh.gif sweat.gif

With a BIOS update, I no longer have any cold boot issue at 2.4GHz (running at 2.42GHz 242HTT now). Even a single 1HTT increase it will lockup in Prime95 (but games are fine). And it refuses to boot at 2.45GHz, any voltage, any RAM timing. I guess that's the limit of my processor

VCore 1.4V, using stock HSF. The highest temperature it ever get is 57C when running orthos. I'm pretty sure it can't even reach 2.45GHz, even when I lower the CPU multiplier it can't achieve higher HTT than what I use now doh.gif

Nope even in XP you still need 2GB on modern games, try to play F.E.A.R Extraction Point full detail with 1GB RAM and see what I mean, jerky, long loading times and you can hear hard drive chatting when it uses page file. With 2GB everything went away just like that

Anyone want to try Black Edition on a lousy mobo?

If it can go up to 3.2 with good mem timings, I'm impressed.
