QUOTE(Irresistible @ Aug 8 2007, 09:04 AM) YA, DDR2 667 Need to confirm, DDR voltage = vdimm ? MAximum from Bios is 2.0 V, but it normal set at 1.9V yes , it is . do more Google , mate . Definitions of vdimm on the Web: VDimm, much like VCore is the voltage at which the Memory DIMM is being given to operate at. about the RAM slot , A64 is different from others as the memory controller is built inside the processor . you have to try yourself each slot to gain optimum performance as each processor has it's own characteristics . good luck . |

Hey, just got a new am2 system. Here are my specs:-
x2 3600+ Brisbane biostar 590 A2+ 2GB DDR2 667 Team Value ram. The system hasnt been running for long yet. So fat I can only get it up to 2.45ghz. Anything above that and Prime always fails within a minute. It reaches 2.45ghz with almost no voltage increase but aparently increasing voltage doesnt help after that. Is my proc hitting its limit or has it not settled yet? I was expectin more from this baby after hearin its reputation |

In bios,
1) Turn off cpu spread spectrum 2) change command rate to 2T 3) use lower memory divider (eg. 400 , 533) 4) Loosen the ram timing ( if it is too tight) 5) Keep HT link under 1000 6) add vcore if necessary happy OC and enjoy urself! This post has been edited by dblooi: Aug 8 2007, 03:10 PM |

For DRAM extra strength, leave it as default. Orthos at least 8 hours. 30 mins is not enough to test stability. Yes, since your ram is around 415MHz (I assume you use the same timing as SPD), then just add one step of Vcore -pWs- This post has been edited by -pWs-: Aug 8 2007, 05:04 PM |

Why u said set DDR 400 suit me ??
That means I need to underclock my RAM by so much? DDR volatage max is 2.0 V My Bios got one setting, near the Cool & Quiet. Got "Visualisation", need to turn off or not ? Where to turn off CPU spread Spectrum ? In BIOS where ? Advanced Chipset featres ? test the system stability with Orbhto ? What is that ? I plan to just do OC till 2500Mhz with my Biostar Geforce 6100 using default core (1.3V), should be OK, right ? This post has been edited by Irresistible: Aug 8 2007, 06:56 PM |
