YA, DDR2 667
Need to confirm, DDR voltage = vdimm ?
MAximum from Bios is 2.0 V, but it normal set at 1.9V

yes , it is .
do more Google , mate .

Definitions of vdimm on the Web:
VDimm, much like VCore is the voltage at which the Memory DIMM is being given to operate at.

about the RAM slot , A64 is different from others as the memory controller is built inside the processor .
you have to try yourself each slot to gain optimum performance as each processor has it's own characteristics .

good luck .

Hey, just got a new am2 system. Here are my specs:-
x2 3600+ Brisbane
biostar 590 A2+
2GB DDR2 667 Team Value ram.

The system hasnt been running for long yet. So fat I can only get it up to 2.45ghz. Anything above that and Prime always fails within a minute. It reaches 2.45ghz with almost no voltage increase but aparently increasing voltage doesnt help after that. Is my proc hitting its limit or has it not settled yet? I was expectin more from this baby after hearin its reputation sad.gif

try to lower The HT link , (x3 or x4)
keep HT link below 1000
let say 250 X 5 = 1250 ( actually over already)
250 X 4 = 1000 ( ngam ngam hou )

In bios,

1) Turn off cpu spread spectrum
2) change command rate to 2T
3) use lower memory divider (eg. 400 , 533)
4) Loosen the ram timing ( if it is too tight)
5) Keep HT link under 1000
6) add vcore if necessary

happy OC and enjoy urself! happy.gif

wat other stuff need to turn off, other than cpu spread spectrum?

how under the ram options. like DRAM extra strength?

my vcore is 1.325v, vdimm 2v. 2.9ghz(300x9.5), ddr533 divider. orthos for 30mins ok, but play granado espada and watch quake4 demos at the same time, pc restarted. up vcore again?

Disable Cool n Quiet too.
For DRAM extra strength, leave it as default.

Orthos at least 8 hours. 30 mins is not enough to test stability.
Yes, since your ram is around 415MHz (I assume you use the same timing as SPD), then just add one step of Vcore

Why u said set DDR 400 suit me ??

That means I need to underclock my RAM by so much? DDR volatage max is 2.0 V

My Bios got one setting, near the Cool & Quiet. Got "Visualisation", need to turn off or not ?

Where to turn off CPU spread Spectrum ? In BIOS where ? Advanced Chipset featres ?

test the system stability with Orbhto ? What is that ?

I plan to just do OC till 2500Mhz with my Biostar Geforce 6100 using default core (1.3V), should be OK, right ?

cauz if u were to oc to 2500,
ur ram will sure be runing above 667Mhz wif other divider...
n 2.0V can't do anything...
if got 2.2V will be nice...
n yea...
ddr400 to test out ur proc's best...
then oni u find the highest ur ram can go...

YA, I undestand....

Now, my RAm is 352 x 2= 704 Mhz (I am using DDR2 667),

Slight clock shouldn't be a problem for my Kingston value RAM , right ?? Should I put it at 2.0 V or just left it at 1.9V for DDR voltage ?

Prime95 u need 2 clients only can stress fully your CPU.

For ram, slight oc should not be a problem. Even you want to hardcore also can laugh.gif
Is it the timing same with the spd value?
