You have to add vcore for it already.
Last time my windsor 38 need 1.5x to reach 2.5Ghz. FYI, my windsor 38 is 89W one.  smile.gif
And yes, as byfc2010 said, windsor is much more difficult to oc if compared to brisbane

= . =!! so difficult to oc ! i plan to get better heatsink to cold down temp .. hope can improve ... blush.gif

want to see the last juice of my brisby?
it's require ~1.5v.. better stick 3ghz for 1.4v... vdimm 2.2v..
>1.6 just commit suicide... no need to ruin the good chip..

my overclock step!
default fsb 200mhz , default vcore 1.35 , default vdmim : 1.8v
increase 5mhz each time . after that run orthos 8+- minute
until 230mhz , increase vcore to 1.37 after that run orthos 8+- minute
235mhz , increase vcore 1.4 after that run orthos 8+- minute

any problem with my oc step ?

Looks ok to me. The reason you are increasing the vcore is because orthos fails right? And a kind reminder, don't push your proc to hard until you get your new HSF. 1.75v is way too high even for water-cooling!!!
*
cant wait anymore T.T .... just oc kaw kaw . maintain < 60c only . dont worry boss .. rclxms.gif

Oh... mobo limitation so no voltage changes. Can't even do HT multiplier in Bios only in Windows... Its a pretty lousy mobo... probably wanna change mobo already...

So i guess there's no diff doing it in Windows then. I've played STALKER for hours ytd with no issue. Will try runnin orthos overnight.
*
yes , i have same feeling , some of the asus mobo had limitation vcore and vdmim .
DFI , Abit , Biostar is ur another choice ..

Hey, just got a new am2 system. Here are my specs:-
x2 3600+ Brisbane
biostar 590 A2+
2GB DDR2 667 Team Value ram.

The system hasnt been running for long yet. So fat I can only get it up to 2.45ghz. Anything above that and Prime always fails within a minute. It reaches 2.45ghz with almost no voltage increase but aparently increasing voltage doesnt help after that. Is my proc hitting its limit or has it not settled yet? I was expectin more from this baby after hearin its reputation sad.gif

try to lower The HT link , (x3 or x4)
keep HT link below 1000
let say 250 X 5 = 1250 ( actually over already)
250 X 4 = 1000 ( ngam ngam hou )

hi all,

Just bought a new system yesterday:

AMD 64 X2 4000
Biostar TA690G AM2
512MB x 2 Micron D9KGX DDR2 800

I can only go till 2.41Ghz only above that it will not post or load to window.
btw any one here know where can I get the patch for amd cpu
*
