I stuck with streamyx for 10 years...
So today, the management told me, my apartment high rise told me that TIME signed the agreement to install fibre on September 2018, but they still don't install it yet... I asked management whether many people demand fibre at my place, he answered no, his face showed something... He didn't dare to look at me while talking the whole time

Staying at Penang, where can I approach TIME and effective one? Going to the bayan lepas corporate office?

You should start campaigning & let your neighbors know the benefit of using Time Fibre. Got FB community group? At least that is what we did previously to raise headcount.

No FB community group... My building management should do the work or campaign, follow up, not even sure whether they got follow up or not.. Last few months ago, I remembered that I seen TNB doing something on the ground, one taman apartment is so close to me have Time fibre, just one small road path away from my building sad.gif

According to management, they signed agreement with TIME on September 2018, and no fibre instillation yet..
Then, someone told me my building not in the project list, or not sure...
TNB contractors and TIME itself... I don't know how long they will take here... Any ideas? PM me

To be honest, I utilize upload speed more than download speed, average 500mb~1gb per week.. I haven't upload my important anime stuff to google drive, about 130gb, with this shitty streamyx 400~450kbps upload speed, it takes me for a month long to upload... Irritated to wait something to upload slowly...

Hi, RM 100 Off on the first bill when you sign up online.

For fibre cables, outside your house is covered by TIME and it is free.
TIME will provide free 20 meters cable from the doorstep entry.
RM 10 will be charged for additional per meter.

Thanks.

Oh thank for info. I'll sign up for the 100mb package, that means I just have to pay a little more (6 % SST) for the first month?

QUOTE(AmeiN @ Feb 13 2019, 08:07 PM)

Just now, 6:30pm they start to pulling the cable, then back around 7pm. I assume they haven't complete the installation yet. Don't the notice on the board like your apartment

+ pro rate charges.

If own house, i ask them to drill to avoid eyesore cable at doorways. need to pay RM50.
*
I think they are using telephone line port for the cable. If that's the case, my port built at the living room, only 35~50cm is required to where my streamyx TM modem located at now.

TIME lay the fibre cable to building electric space already. Two weeks have been passed. From what I heard around, they still waiting for government confirmation to drill at outside (?). Don't know how long the process takes in place...
If anyone follow and experience this, please share with us here.

Perhaps I being impatient here, but at least TIME is here. I confirmed with building management, not TM, it gives me peace of mind.

At least you found a fix.. I've left ipv6 enabled back on TM and now on TIME.. All's been okay despite others facing issues.. Unsure why.. but won't complain..  smile.gif
Yup.. Just give it a couple more months and it should be up and running properly.
*
More couple months huh..? The wait is real...dammit

I'm seeing many Penang apartments have TIME availability update so quick, like 2-3 apartments with TIME per week.
Hope it done quickly by end of April... even better if around March...

What you don't see with such announcements are the months or years before such announcements can be made. I was among the initial folks to lobby TIME into my place. It took at least 2 years between then and it's availability. Not counting how long TIME may have actually been considering to expand here. So could be longer. Be glad, they are almost done..  biggrin.gif  Besides, you want the job done right for stability and not rushed.

In fact, they are already lay the fibre cable to my apartment...

Confirmed it is TIME.
Since that day (13 February 2019), it has been 1 month+ long already and no news on apartment notice board, I'm getting very impatient and stress, becausefrustrated with streamyx slow upload speed bangwall.gif

Is there anything I can do? My building management told me government staff doing some liaising here there...They being slow to manage the things?

Damai Vista, Penang.

Hi Bro,

Fyi, infra expansion/rollout usually will take a few months because lots of civil work which involves local authority approval.

We appreciate your kind patience.

Thanks.
*
Okay thanks for your info.
I think they finished lay the cables inside the building already, but seems like I still have to wait for another 1-2 months here...

Recently, my apartment just have TIME internet.

I asked one salesgirl, she said TIME port is limited as TIME open half of 100+ units.
Is it true that TIME internet is limited?
Or TIME will open the port anytime whenever people wants to install?
