So installers are contractor rather than TIME staff... They did patch the holes, but three holes are definitely much more obvious than one. BTW, is good metal detector very expensive? Random prices from Google is only between $100 to $1000+.
Depends on its sensitivity & depth it can detect...

Asking on behalf of future subscribers:

1. During registration, is it possible to request TIME to send only installer equipped with metal detector? Can customers reject the installation from proceed if installer don't have it, and request TIME to re-arrange? Having few thumb size hole patches on the wall for no purpose, I guess no property owner love to see that.
It's hard to request that as it is not part of the standard Installation requirement. We have that becoz we did a lot of 'tricky' projects.

2. Shall there be unexpected damage caused by installation, who would bear the repair cost? Installer? TIME? Customer to absorb?
Installer would have to repair that.

Prior Installation discussion with SI is important to ensure customer's concern is addressed.

Thank you.

@jjj2
I see. Thanks for sharing the info smile.gif

Sounds like the drilling issue is an unavoidable risk if following service provider's practice.

Ya, the risk is there....sometimes have to depend on luck too... in PG occassionally we received special request from customers to deal with special & non-standard installation , if time is allowed, I will attend to it.

Thanks.

From KL.

This morning's result:
speedtest.singnet.com.sg: 43ms
www.speedtest.com.sg: 11ms
speed.sg.m247.ro: 12ms
speedtest-sgp.apac-tools.ovh: 12ms
*
Hmm quite good results your're getting there. Please disregard the Singtel results, there's something wrong with their DNS as it will resolve with some other IP which works better in other regions. Even other ISPs in hosting Singapore are getting terrible speeds above 50ms.

Use this instead: cdn.aws.singtel.com but found out it's being hosted at some Amazon server??
Singtel using AWS hosting?

My physical ISP is Ipoh riding on Maxis Fibre which is around 200km north of KL.
From Ipoh to Maxis's Subang Jaya test server my pings are like 5-6ms.

www.speedtest.com.sg: 12-14ms
speed.sg.m247.ro: 16-18ms
speedtest-sgp.apac-tools.ovh: 17-19ms

I give you a range which is what I get between off peak and peak hours.

For pings to Penang, expect 2-4ms on top of what you get from Ipoh because the distance is even further from the Klang Valley.

My router has been replaced to TP-EC230 by TIME after my previous TP AC1200 (due to unknown reason randomly reboot).

This TP-EC230 router signal is by far the worst signal coverage in my home. Previous routers like AC1200 and DIR-850L provided by TIME was okay. At least 2.4GHz and 5GHz can be used in master bedroom, but the new TP-EC230 constantly dropping signals.
