Hmm 119rm for 500mbps with no contract or remaining contract vs 99rm 100mbps with 24 months renewal and you choose the later.

That's 20rm diff with 400mpbs bump with no renewal.

No renew means no new router means cannot support new speed. Currently using dlink trashcan...

So, with my recent upgrade to 500Mbps, will the TP-Link Archer C7 be an adequate upgrade, or should I opt for something better like the Archer C3150?

Just want something that will do the job well for a small condo (not a landed property), and not overkill.

A budget of around RM700, I think.

Hello,

I guess most of you/us have been bumped up to 500mbps, I was wondering if my current router and modem is adequate to run the advertised 500mbps speed. The current router I have is the capsule looking type one haha! I forgot the brand biggrin.gif

Update: I guess the brand and model is a Dlink Cloud Router 1200 smile.gif

Archer C7 won't be able to fulfill your needs.

You should get at least AC2300.
Or you can order the DIR-882 from TIME.

Thanks

Hey bro, I have the same case as yours. Would you be able to advice how you were able to change the network settings on your machine? Appreciate it smile.gif

Appreciate it man! Honestly, even if it doesn't run exactly 500mbps, at least I get half of what was advertised with a stable connection, I'm already a happy camper smile.gif

Hi all.. Anyone managed to get 500mbps on a 2.4ghz channel? I am using Asus ac-87 but clocking only 90mbps. Tried switching channels, restart everything, but can't help. On a 5ghz I can get around 300mbps only. No point asking to try on lan as nowadays everything wireless.. My router supposedly able to get 600mbps on a 2.4ghz

2.4ghz max around 100mbps only.
5ghz around 300mbps is normal for 2xMimo AC receiver (most phone 1-2xMimo only).
