What's the max link speed on your phone?

Archer C9 can achieve 500Mbps on 5GHz Laptops via AC1900 Adapter.
Cannot guarantee on 5GHz Phones.

Link Speed 866Mbps, Im using Zenfone 5z

Oh OK. Should be fine if near the router.

I don't have 5GHz phone to test but I'm using Archer C9.
Another member here using AC1900 router and adapter able to achieve full speed near the router.

Thanks

This is an overdue review of @yeapch01 as a broadband dealer. It was a really pleasant and smooth transaction. Got the boradband 2 months ago and he handled the application professionally. Also he offered some rebate on top of the promotional discount rate. Recommended 👍🏻👍🏻

1Gbps WiFi speedtest on the Asus RT-AX88U.

Yup, it is totally possible to reach 1Gbps over WiFi (930Mbps after Ethernet overhead). But, this is not a practical example. The distance between router and receiver need to be super close to achieve this.

I expect WiFi 6 (Wireless AX) to enable true 1Gbps WiFi in the future. Right now we can only experiment AX routers with AC WiFi adapter and it is already showing improvements.

any router will work, but depending on your subscription, not all will be able to deliver the full speed

Over 2.4GHz able to achieve 100Mbps near the router if not congested.
Do you have 5GHz receiving devices?
I'm able to get speed 110Mbps over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi near to the router.

Thanks.

Hi, almost forgot all my devices need consider...

My Wireless Devices is this:-

ROUTER = Asus RT-N14U = 802.11n : up to 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz)

iPhone 7 Plus = 802.11ac Wi‑Fi with MIMO

Xiaomi Mi 5s = Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band

2 x PC using TP-Link TL-WN951N PCI Card = 11n: Up to 300Mbps(dynamic) & 11g: Up to 54Mbps(dynamic)

My apartment size around 1,000 sq.ft., consider the Router to PC is from one corner to another corner (Living to Bedroom)

I don't use Wired, just 4 person using internet, only me downloading Torrent.

So, can I enjoy the TIME 100Mbps package at max. speed?

Which devices need to change at least?

Thank you.

You need to change your router.
State your budget so that I can recommend you.
Your phone is sufficient to get 100Mbps.

100Mbps is sufficient if you have Wireless AC devices.
Change the PCI if cannot achieve full speed with new router.

Thanks.

Hope can recommend me a Router, with these requirements:-
- Budget around RM500
- Can support at least 100Mbps Internet (Time Fibre)
- Stable (reliable) & Coverage is more important than Speed
- Wireless Range able cover whole Apartment Unit
- Like to stream movie from Overseas.
- No need transfer Files wirelessly between PC
- Do not need Gigabit Port
- No need QoS
- Can share with friend if they have older phone in wireless G.

Pls advise. Thanks.

Hi. Oops.
I misread it. Heard that you're going to subscribe TIME?
TIME do have their stock router.
You may try their stock router then only buy a new one
TIME will be giving free TP-Link C1200 router which are able to achieve 100Mbps on Wi-Fi.

You may refer to your PM for more details.

Thanks.
