QUOTE(drskullz @ Dec 4 2018, 01:03 AM) So if my contract left with just 2 month i still have to pay rm500 even though if i kept on paying itll just be rm400? Any idea where can i find people to transfer my account ownership? You may choose to payoff the remaining months, whichever is lower. There is 1 month advance notice to be given for Termination. Thanks.

Hi Guys, got a question. I subscribe to TIME 500 Mbps. Using the default router AC1200. but when i connect cat5e cable to the LAN, my speed is only +/- 100Mbps. I called TIME service centre, they said they check there is no problem with the connection to my modem, and said they will reset their port. I checked again after a day, and it is still aroudn 100Mbps with LAN. What could be the problem? Or i should just downgrade to 100Mbps, maybe it is just the hardware limitation?

Try to perform direct connection to ONU to check whether you can get full speed. Thanks

QUOTE(jjj2 @ Dec 4 2018, 01:17 AM) Hi, Welcome onboard to TIME Fibre There are currently some bugs on the current stock router, you could get your own router configured to make it better. You may spend bit more and go for AC2600 D-Link DIR-882 afterall its price is just RM550 (subsidized) and includes onsite Installation with 3 years warranty. Thanks. Hi JJ Wud like to know if this price is gonna get me the best router around or if the best is like 600 I'll go for it instead, but if the sufficient for me is 300 then i might get 300 then Thanks for taking the time to reply

QUOTE(System Error Message @ Dec 4 2018, 12:09 AM) if you dont need QoS, plenty of routers actually will do your needed speeds with hardware acceleration if the hardware acceleration supports PPPOE and VLANs. 2nd, look for a router that can do 500Mb/s of wifi. 2 channel wifi AC will easily do 300Mb/s, 3 channel can do more, 4 channel MU-MIMO even better for faster speeds but, they all require the clients to also have the same wifi. If your laptop only have 2 channel wifi AC, 300Mb/s+ is your practical speed, even if your router got 8 wifi channels. Channel availability is another thing, not only what your location has around it, but what frequencies the router and your PC can use. If you need QoS, i suggest a different router and wifi combo. I wish i had time where i am, TM treats us very very badly. I live in high rise too. However it would be nice if TIME could spread to homes too, and they actually have. Someone mentioned before that they werent allowed too but they've actually had landed lines for very very long. Thanks for the lengthy explanation this, cudnt have ask for a better one, appreciated it

How big is the area you want to cover ?

Update to this latest firmware Build 20180502 rel.45702 (official) will reduce the orange light problem but cannot 100% resolve. Yr case where your connection disconnected after idle, you can try to change the PPPOE Connection Mode to Manual, and Max Idle Time to 0. Thanks.

DIR-882 is a lot better, so far we still havent found any major bugs except minor confusing DNS settings. Thanks. This post has been edited by jjj2: Dec 4 2018, 01:39 PM

Cannot guarantee on 5GHz Phones.
