Geng,

Need advise. TIME has not responded to me on my issue.

Recently got upgraded from 300Mbps to 1Gbps, bloody excited. Old router doesn't support it (850L), go out and buy Asus AC68U.

Came back set up, speed still the same.

Using USB 3.0 network adapater, cat6 from laptop to router, cat6 from router to modem.
Laptop - HP Pavi
Core i7-6700HQ
16gb ram
240GB m.2

Speed test is 350Mbps up/down.

Wifi on 5Ghz - 290Mbps the most (p20 pro). Any advise?

Thanks
plague

Anyone got the new DIR-882 router?

Any feedback on speed and range for both frequencies?

Real On-Site Testing

Tested 2 nodes Deco M9 Plus combo with Dlink DIR882 on 1Gbps line yesterday...

Incoming 7xxMbps, take into consideration of old concealed Cat5e cables in the house,
On Wireless, Deco able to achieve 5xxMbps (tested on TP-Link Deco apps), normal speedtest TIME Server constantly giving 4xxMbps.

Beamforming -- slightly bit slower.
Node-to-Node connectivity -- superb
Setup -- Easy

For Home mesh, this is definitely a recommended choice.

Thanks.

Deco M9 can work with DIR882? I thought must work with only their own nodes?

How is the speed for the second node? or third if any?

I have C7 v2 as well. My phone can get 350+mbps if 1m away from router.
You should check your phone's wifi spec. If not mimo capable, then it will max out at around 200mbps only.

C7 v2 is quite an old model. I accidentally bought this too. Not too good, the version 5 is much better as they have dual bank antennas.

OK, results of my preliminary checking and testing will follow.
[attachmentid=10133748] My house layout. The red arrows indicate the current position of the Asus router and TPlink extender

this is the speedtest results in the living room on AC wifi with router setup:

Thats quite poor, considering the cost of a mesh router?

I was expecting the Deco M9 to hit at least 50% of the speed of the main node.
