the stock tplink router given by TIME. Connection speed on LAN ya.
WIFI speed so far around 250Mbps only. Unless i test next to the router can get 400Mbps+ on my phone.

what's your torrent client setting? i can't get over 10-12MB/s even with some tweaks made. Tried torrent with lots of seeders but it reluctant to go further than 12MB/s. Feels like throttled.
*
qbtorrent & xunlei-U(VIP) version.
Enable port forwarding (UDP/TCP) and set active connection to 1000 per task.

And because of the speed upgrade by TIME, i dug out my old SSD from store room to use as download drive. HDD torrenting at 30~40MB/s down will peak disk usage @ 100%.

Remark: Xunlei start to block copyright content hence mostly download via qbtorrent now.

To know which band.

For 2.4GHz is normal WiFi name without 5G at the back.
Check your link speed on your PCs

Thanks.

I signed up TIME 500 mbps recently for RM139 and it feels a bit overkill. Will I be allowed to downgrade to 100mbps?

Yes, you can.

You may downgrade with refresh contract.

Thanks

3.5.8tt is TIME custom firmware for DLink. Try Google d-link emergency room if you to flash back D-Link stock firmware but may void warranty from TIME.

Don't bother with it. I only used mine for less than a month before changing to an Asus.

Hi Bro,

Please don't do any upgrade/flashing on the firmware.
If you experience any buggy issues, feel free to feedback ya...
We'll share if there's new firmware available.

Thanks.

Is it normal for the installer to take the router manual? I was scheduled for 2:30pm since I work early but the installer called and went to my house at 10am. When I got home he left the warranty paper and the box but no manual was left.

Lately my internet keep being stuck at 100Mbps (my plan is 500), and I had to restart the router for it to go back to 500. This is getting annoying if it happens every day.

Normally the technician won't take away the manual.

Intitaily upgrade to 500Mbps can get constant 500Mbps d/l on lan cable to PC. Lately cannot even get 300Mbps.
Restarted 5 times ac1200 still no improvement. bangwall.gif

Try to reset your router.
Or alternatively, perform direct connection to ONU.

If still occurs, time to get a new router.

Thanks.
