For our observation, most customers no longer focus on the land line given...mobile lines are replacing land lines in many ways... only some older generations are still used to having land lines or as a backup purpose for areas where the mobile signals are pretty weak.

ic. Ya indeed. Only thing the time voice may be useful I guess is the IDD calls. They have promo price of 8 cents per min to 60 countries which are relatively cheaper than most postpaid and prepaid IDD calls, if one really does need to make such calls, it can be useful.

I myself also use my prepaid line to make local calls too only nowadays, since it is unlimited calls.

Hi, can DIY provided you know the SuperAdmin password & you know what to configure, but we are not allowed to disclose.
So in short, better call CS to request for that.

dun understand this promo what does it got to do with free speed boost?
It seems to target existing users with obsolete plans that are no longer existed?

Also seems like time is following the footsteps for all ISPs that any termination now will incur more than just rm500 only like before. This is bad.

“If you wish to terminate your subscription within contract, you would incur an early termination charge of RM500 or the sum of your remaining contractual period, whichever is higher.”

with the same price? existing 100Mbps plan users are paying for rm99? now free upgrade to 200Mbps?
what about 300Mbps and 500Mbps users how much do they pay?

100Mbps to 200Mbps if rm99 or lower is certainly a good deal....

1Gbps & 2Gbps remain the same with no speed boost. - those went for highest possible plans always ended up as water fish eventually. tongue.gif

SPEED BOOST is just a joke

All the fibre optic cables installed are capable of 2 Gbps or higher such as 10 Gbps.
It is already wired at the highest speed.

The ISP (Time) use throttling to reduce bandwidth use by a particular user. Just change in software to "allow" higher speed cap.
It is NOT "boost" shocking.gif

If I understand correctly, they just change the contract extension offer from

(A) reduction of MYR20/mth or free router
to
(B) free speed upgrade + free router.

Am I right?

I took a closer look at the tnc page and I noticed

> and to existing subscribers who received complimentary speed boost between 27 March 2024 to 7 April 2024.

There was never an offer of "reduction of MYR20/mth" for 100Mbps renewal. Only Time use UMobile to offer RM79 to tap into the untapped market.

Can I downgrade my 500Mbps (on contract) to 100Mbps and get speed boost to 200Mbps?
