I noticed that Time is throttling downloads from filehosting sites to 100kbps. Anyone know any workaround?

My time fibre gives the Hg8145x6 mesh router, have 2 piece but I'm only using 1 piece, another piece I want to use for my other house as wifi repeater.

However when I go to the router settings wifi repeater, it just won't connect to any wifi AP even my own phone Hotspot.

Anyone have this issue and how to solve? Thank you

WiFi repeater is mesh? Most other router brands have the wifi repeater function

not all telco provided device is same as what's available in the market.

if my installation has a high fibre reading , can that be fixed easily ? since it doesn't cause any connection issues does it matter also ?

Hi, please do note that this X6 is not going to be working as mesh with your current other brand of router.
if you want to make it work as repeater, press & hold the WPS button on the side of the X6 for approx. 15s until you see all the lights lit up, release it & let it reboot, this will turn it into AP mode.

Login then as usual & select WiFi-Uplink to link to your existing router.

Still not advisable as this device performs poorly vs those mesh systems that you could get in the market.

It depends on the reading, if it's marginally high, you may experiencing downtime intermittently.

if the line is noisy "high noise" then the connection bound to be unstable.
How did you check this number ?

If you are using one of those Huawei All in One Routers

Login -> System Information -> Optical
and pay attention to RX Optical Power

What numbers are considered good vs bad ?

I would say it should be no more than -25
so something like -15 would be good

Hi all, I am using TIME Huawei HG8145X6 and WA8021V5

The Mesh AP is connected through LAN and I couldn't seems to be able to set up a proper Mesh WiFi.

In the HG8145X6 WiFi Coverage Page, it listed WA8021V5 with its serial no. but the status shows Not Synchronized. And at the WA8021V5, its status shows Wired Repeater. So, I am assuming that it is not setup as Mesh WiFi.

Anyone has any idea on this?

If my memory serves me right, that model does not support wired mesh
