GX12 has calls included.
GX30 call rate is PAYU.
*
if like that isn't gx50 better? since gx12 only 3Mbps
gx12 is RM12 per week
12x4 = RM48
only rm2 cheaper and no need pay sst

I have alot of credit in my Umobile prepaid.
If I convert to Umobile postpaid, will I lose all my prepaid credits? Or can transfer over to the new Umobile postpaid account?
*

QUOTE(brokenvday @ Jul 13 2019, 01:09 PM)
Hi members,
Just wanted to share my experience on using GX30 Prepaid so far from UMobile.
As I've just moved back from Singapore, I was looking for a good affordable coverage and especially unlimited usage (comparing to what I used to have in SG) telco.
Results are based on my current location, Damansara Damai area:
1) Digi sucked real bad. Never can get full signal on Note 9 (H+ & 4G only). Keeps getting disconnected in PUBG depending where I sit in the room, download speeds were meh too, can't use much for browsing or downloads in the first place. (Was using RM4 - 400mb/7days validity + RM3 - 2gb/3days validity)
2) Celcom good coverage and insane speeds with unlimited cap BUT their promos sucked! Like RM1 - 1hour unlimited usage/no tethering, RM2 - 3hours etc. So if you're looking for long term usage, this is out of the picture. For big file downloads I would recommend the 1 to 24 hours unlimited speed *this depends where you live*
3) Maxis I didn't bother at all, everything pricey and the promos sucked. Like both worlds of bad put together.
4) UMobile at first I was very skeptical because when my friend came over, he was using UM, he said no line and coverage very bad. As per my reviews on top, I had no choice but to try UM seeing how my place doesn't have coverage for Unifi or TIME yet, only fking YTL broadband. I decided to give it a go. To my surprise! Coverage was good, always 4g (not 4g+, sometimes have but I don't rely on that too much as the other telcos also 4g only) in my room no matter where I sat. Browsing was fast, page loads quickly and even stream! Tested on PUBG Mobile, NO dc whatsoever and on voice my squad can hear my loud and clear.
Yes, the speeds are capped at 3mbps but what do you expect for RM30 only for unlimited data? Just a small comparison, in Singapore, SingTel charges Data X Infinite (unlimited usage), no cap on data for $50++ (RM150) and this is an add on on top of your base data which usually goes for $48++ (RM145++) <3gb base plan, unlimited calls, caller ID - need to plus $5 (RM15), yes in SG wanna see who call you also must pay>. So overall, I think UMobile FOR ME , is the best choice for my usage.
For Youtube, default is 480p but if you don't mind a little wait, just change option to 1080p, let it load then play for seamless streaming. If want everything fast, then DG150 lor.. but want cheap, fast and good coverage but don't want pay, need start your own telco already. I confirm join your service smile.gif
My opinions may change down the road since it's only a few days of usage for UM compared to DG but heck, it's much better than the others and what choice do I have? Going back to DG and their bad coverage? No thanks.
Below is screenshot of speeds in different locations around DD. In my room, where I use the most so far highest speed test is 15mbps downloads but using IDM, capped at 3mbps.
Speed test was done about an hour ago.

Is this a sign that Singaporeans want to dominate Malaysia telco business?

Meanwhile from the past year Malaysia keeps selling overseas assets and investment while making major share of local assets be held by foreign entity, don't they know how to manage financial without opting the easy way out?

Singapore telcos market are saturated already, Malaysia is next best things since mobile data is pricier than neighboring countries but cheaper than themselves
*
Right, Malaysian telco is one of the cheapest in the world to offer unlimited data packages

Gx30 also affected? I tried at noon today, still getting slow speed. Do note that my quota use is more than 100gb

Now, due to UMobile "refresh" its FUP,
any usage more than 100GB for GX30/X50 will be throttled

according to UMobile Community Group FB

Obviously. Theres always someone somewhere abusing the good stuff, later got limit put in for everyone. Me being an unemployed and sitting on my ass all day long watching netflix and hulu only managed to reach around 70gb per month only. On fb those ppl posting ss of using like 200gb and boasting somemore. Now all kena lol
*
Originally GX50 is used to counter plan like i80 but now I think this is no longer worth it since you can now choose yes4g and with yes4g having increasing coverage
I myself also use around 200 to 400gb per month as now I cast my phone to TV and watch and download at the same time
I'm planning to switch to yes4g

So far usage about 100gb
But speed throttle about 100 to 125KB/s instead of the usual 50 to 70 KB/s

QUOTE(corihata @ Sep 26 2019, 09:00 AM)
Pros:
confirmed tested no throttling after 100GB for P99 for me at least
speed is tiptop if the signal is extremely good

Cons:
but it's true after 8 pm - 1 am the line does get congested for me it's become 30Mbps, but acceptable
480p Youtube and Netflix if your eyes don't bother 1080 or 720 or not
Hope this info helped someone  biggrin.gif

100gb speed throttle is only confirmed for GX plans for now
UNLESS U mobile go update their FUP again???

Umobile P99 speed test after #cubatry end

At night the speed is 12mbps like wtf
it was at least 37mbps when #Cubatry

sometimes even 1mbps @night this happens after the end of #cubatry means this is not caused by congested

While on #cubatry it was all 100mbps@morning /37mbps @night

Also, this applies to good signal area for u mobile.
If u on the average/bad area might get even below 3mbps constant speed  sweat.gif

check which tower u r connected

QUOTE(corihata @ Oct 7 2019, 10:23 AM)
why does that matter confused.gif
*
Because you may be connecting to a tower that is fluctating to other towers

For example, you are connected to band 7 tower (Not congested) but after a while you are connected to band 3 tower (congested) and vice versa
