Digi supposed better than Umobile unless ur placed is congested with a lot of user using Digi..
*
This my observation. Since wifey has Digi line for me to borrow and test out.

Between Digi and Umobile, I feel probably Digi has better network planning & network infrastructure than Umobile.
Hence the speed is better. But all telcos are not 100% perfect.

If Umobile needs to add an additional base station on top of their already multiple base station on 1 location vs Digi which probably has 1-2 to cover the same area as mine, what does it tell me? Poor infrastructure planning.

I dont mean to talk like a pro network engineer. Just so happen I watch a few Youtube videos on how Cellular base station works to have a better understanding.

need confirmation..p99 can stream netflix / youtube @ full hd or not ..

im on Hero p79. supposedly no speed cap but...
if you are lucky to get 360p you are lucky enough.
my area no need cap - the Youtube stats shows that it cant even break 1mbits per second. thats for night streaming.

update: Just tried this afternoon around 12-1pm time, able to stream at 720p though i feel thats the max. data rate burst was around 1.38Mbps.

whereas Wifey digi with Unlimited video daily lite subscribed - even though says cap to 512kbps can do burst data speed up to 4-5mbps

celcom also not bad

Lets see if it gets thrown back to Umobile by MCMC.
You think they (MCMC) care? Keep us updated on what MCMC has to say, follow by what Umobile "sings" back at you.

For Hotlink, if you made the mistake, at least some "plead of guity" and they will refund the credit. (But only for first time offense). If you had talked to Umobile about it, maybe (I said: Maybe) you can get them to refund your credit for the mishap.

Before you start whatever "Jom, marilah kita ramai2 report SKMM" mass report thingie, think , this is customer error (regardless intentional or unintentional) , who's fault is it? innocent.gif

Hi guys!

I'm using the P48 plan currently. Been using for over 1.5 years. So far no prob.

It's just for this month, my data quota ran out early because my home wifi got some trouble. But it's fixed now but I still have 12 days left before the quota renewed.

For my plan, it seems that Umobile only offer 1GB data booster that is valid for 3 days. So, for 12 days, it seems I have to boost for 4 times, amounting to RM 40. Ridiculous.
Can anyone can suggest me other ways? Hm...

5GB for Rm 48, and 1GB of hotspot, you have been scammed by Umobile.
Sorry to say, for the price of RM 35 for GX38, you get up to 12GB (promo) hotspot.

Find ways to downgrade to prepaid, if Umobile allows.

Hi guys, I have a question. Can I subscribe to U Postpaid 98 and install it to a sim router, e.g. Huawei B818 to use?

Since my area doesn't have fiber and 1000gb seems ok to me, was thinking to use it for my home wifi

i have test u38 put into modem but cannot hotspot , so i think only can 'hotspot' at phone but got block at modem unless u use mod modem
*
The correct answer is - THere is no hotspot data for 4G. Hence thats why awee87 is unable to use on modem or 4G hotspot. Its clearly stated only for 5G.

What leaking problem lmaoo??? Umobile 98 plan has 1000gb hotspot quota
*
QUOTE(PRSXFENG @ Feb 21 2023, 01:08 PM)
they changed the 5g plans
you get 5gb hotspot quota
after that runs out, it uses your main data pool to hotspot
so yes, you are allowed to hotspot the 1000gb that is given
*
QUOTE(MNF0 @ Feb 21 2023, 03:51 PM)
It's for both 4G and 5G.
*
Then its quite confusing. Why would they use the word "Ultra Hotspot 5G " , the terminology "5G" is misleading. Oh well, this is Malasia. Cannot sue them for misleading ads.
And why would they need a separate hotspot data, if its not going to like - after depleting hotspot quota, your hotspot will stop.

It means Hotspot with high speed, no speed limit.
Please spell "Malaysia" correctly.

Okey la, enjoy your fake 5G hotspot claims on your 4g phones. High speed means high speed. I still stand firm that For Umobile to claim 5g as high speed on 4g network is still misleading.
BTW Malaysia is also Tanah Melayu, okay? That one is legit for me to claim Malaysia is Tanah Melayu. Just as you want to claim your fake 5g as high speed. Good luck with that
