I never use back goodyear that come from factory. Once botak change into conti cpc2 and currently on conti uc6. Price cpc2 is about rm220 and uc6 rm230 for size 185/55r16. If got better tyre than uc6, I will straightaway change. Like I mentioned earlier, no primacy series, no pilot sport series, no mc6, no eagle f1 series. This line up easily cost rm450 upwards for my toyota 17inch price 😅.  For 16inch, I have no idea since no exist in the market.

Continental made in Malaysia. I won't say they are OEM but really not up to XM2 level in terms of all round performance, at least that's what I get from reviews. For that price, I would say its in between OEM and something like XM2 and XM2 is made in Thailand. 17" prices for this is sweat.gif

Bro. Is there any possibility that the sound was from the doors? You try to swing on the back passenger door especially the back left & listen carefully to see whether the sound appeared?
*
Don't think so. When my family closes the doors, I hear no hinge sounds. Somemore this is the diagnose result from SC pomen. Anyways, once I get the beam replaced I will test again to make sure this is the cause otherwise I will complain again.

If you’re familiar with PC water cooling, they don’t recommend to use deionised water on rads.
The water will pull ions from the aluminum fins of the rad causing corrosion. Didn’t try out that theory though.
*
That's because pure water corrodes, and for cooling system we normally add additives (in the case of industrial use).

Hmm... is City engine aluminium or steel?
*
Should be Al. In any case, using pure water will corrode it.

Just top up with normal tap water will do. Even if you top up to full in the expansion tank, there is always an overflow tube to let the extra water escape in the event of overflow.

Although if you study in-depth automotive cooling system, book will tell you only put "distilled water" into radiator due to those mineral in water will make your radiator and water passage become rusty. But in my opinion that is abit too much. SC in malaysia, even conti brand will just top up coolant level using tap water.
*
I think using tap water is discouraged not so much because of rust, but rather due to potential build-up of mineral scales that can impede heat transfer, either through the forming of a non-heat conductive layer, or fouling of the radiator tubes/passes.

Dunno but based on the likes, seems like very few reviewers for UC6 compared to XM2. This could skewer the results to positive or negative but XM2 seems to have more accurate aggregates. Road grip & comfort are usually opposed each other so having a tyre that is high in both seems oddly weird.

Road grip and comfort in the past does not goes along well. But not in recent year, nowadays, manufacture produce balance tyre which is high road grip but does not sacrifice comfort. Can see review about michelin pilot sport 4. Higher dry and wet grip while at the same time higher comfort than michelin xm2. The reviewers for this tyre is so much more too compared to xm2 which make the result accurate as according to u, the more people review, the more accurate it is.

And ya, I agree with someone here, xm2 is due for replacement. I also feel xm2 already too long exist in the market. If I remember 6 or 7 years ago can see already in the market and now 2018 still shop selling this.  doh.gif  doh.gif

Yeah, XM2 is old. I got a set for my old Persona 5 years ago. Though i'm not sure what is the model lifespan of tyres. Cars are usually 5~6 years, that i'm sure.

Why not just stop at 80k since you gonna hit 5 years already? 60, 80, 100k services are very costly.

It depends. Are you gonna reach 100k or 5 years first?
If predict to reach 100k first, then imho better to continue servicing in SC until past 100k or even reaching 120k. Reason is, you will need to replace the aircon belt every ~60k km intervals (60k, 120k).

If predict to reach 5 years, then do the service intervals at SC until past 5th year anniversary. No point continue servicing at SC after that cuz warranty is effectively over.

As for sparkplugs, its iridium type so would be more expensive than normal type. Beware of fakes though...

For me, i always service at sc even though its passing warranty period. Its not because I'm rich. Its because sc will change the parts before it spoils. So that it is unlikely that the car will break down in the middle road. However, if service at outside, only changed basic things, sometimes when things broke down, pocket broke larger hole. Furthermore, these days the car has more electronic parts and outside workshop might not have the devices as well.

My advice to all going to sc is change all according to schedule by honda. Additive or other add ons can avoid for lower service price

2 cents

From video look like 2014 S+ Spec, no VSA. only E and V got. Only 2017 model all got VSA.

I based on 3 things, rim is 2014 S+/E Spec + door handle is body color + shark fin antenna.

It was around 80 km/h on gps during the city's turn to corner, so it will show around 90 km/h on the speedo

Was also raining, plus that area is very tricky. Will play havoc on the suspension, when going so fast.

ESC/VSA has limitations too, and yes likely the tires are lousy/bald

btw, the plate is PMA xxxx, so you can probably track down the actual year registered.
