Anyone has installed the Viofo A129 Duo in their car? Did you do it yourself or brought it to a shop to install it? Especially the rear camera.
Any recommended place in Penang to get it installed?
*
Try install yourself. I would install the Viofo A129 duo using the cigarette port from the front. Slip the cables into the rubber door.
Blue line - cigarette port to main dashcam
Red line - main dashcam to rear dashcam (use driver mat to cover the cables)

Can show how do you hide the red line cable? As there is curtain airbag at A-Pillar there.
*
Sorry, i dont have my car with me right now. Now working oversea. I just push the wire behind the plastic cover of the A-pillar. I dont think it will affect the side curtain airbag because i only push the wire until it is not visible into the plastic cover. The depth is probably around the diameter of the wire which is less than 5mm.

Scenario 1 can be easily avoided by waking your wife. I wouldn't leave my sleeping wife in the car.
*
I will lock because I don't want theif/unwanted guest into the car. My wife usually sits at the back with the kids so have difficulty to lock the door especially when the child car seat is blocking the way.

PS: Just notice that i have hard time pulling out the car key. Seems like inside not enough lubricant. Will get it check in the SC.

Understand about the difficulty in reaching for the door lock switch.
Don't understand about not waking the wife when you are leaving the car, locked doors notwithstanding. For me, I will want the wife to be awake and alert to their surrounding, especially if I'll be away even for a short time. She'll be able to sound the horn, for example, if strangers start lurking around.
To each his own, I guess.
*
Usually my wife will ask me to lock the car while i take the car key. There are three kids at the back so it is hard to KO in her sleep. The most she just close her eyes to take a rest but any sudden noise will wake her up. My car have the sunshades so is abit hard to peek inside my car.

You may be right. But since i don't have a hybrid car to test it out, I won't say that I recommend but only it was on sale that time and I would trust Bosch instead of some noname China charger.
*
Another alternative is Ctek. I am currently using the Ctek mxs 5.0 but the price is abit more expensive.

Hi guys, anyone experience squeaking sound from the back side of the car like "nget nget" while crossing speed hump or uneven roads. Its the latest city. Is it the rear suspension problem? Any idea what is the problem? tq
*
Most likely is the folding seats.

Hi Bro, mind to elaborate more?  notworthy.gif

Is it necessary to request SC to have a check?

Thanks in advance

U try to lean on the rear seats and bounce up and down. If u hear the nyek nyek sound, try to locate where the sound come from.

I usually will double check if the filter is brand new in my car since they can randomly get a used one and show me if they really want to.

No le.. Mine has been blue ever since. I also bought the pre mix twice from Honda SC which is blue colour. They told me is for my Honda city. i top up from time to time.

QUOTE(mushigen @ Oct 30 2018, 01:40 PM)
I doubt it's literally 100% deionised. Nevertheless I'd still use it over tap water. How much coolant do you lose, over what period of time?
So far, none of my previous cars had needed coolant top up, since very little water is lost from evaporation at expansion tank.
Honda has two types of coolants, aptly named :
Type 1 which is red
Type 2 which is blue.

Iirc, type 1 requires dilution with distilled water, whereas type 2 is pre-mixed type. This is so that users don't screw up their cooling system by adding tap water during coolant change.

The issue is when we lose coolant without leakage, as in the case of our City. I can assume it's lost through evaporation from expansion tank, which means if we add Type 2 coolant, as suggested, will it not cause an increase in concentration? Perhaps the top up rate is too low (compared to the whole coolant inventory) to make any significant difference.
*
Mine do decrease over time. Now mine is already in the middle in between the allowable range. The one i bought is already pre mix so i think it safe to top up. This is according to the SA la. The reason i use the pre mix is because i am afraid of corrosion build up. Some SC just use tap water to top up.

Never underestimate the appeal of Toyota cars. The present Vios loses out to City, imo, only due to its low spec (2 airbags), ugly DRL and price. If UMW bites the bullet and bring in top spec models at reasonable price, City will suffer in sales.
*
Doubt UMW will bring in better spec for Toyota coz this will affect Perodua. UMW also owns big shares in Perodua.
