Hi, MR400 is AC1200 and MR200 is AC750, mean MR400 can have higher maximum wireless speed compare to MR200. Other major specs are same. Still not seeing many reviews is because MR200 already in market for almost 3 years, but MR400 is just newly launched last month.

Thanks

What do you expect for the price? You get what you pay for innocent.gif

See here for a review of all TP-Link adapters (not the cheap kind!): https://www.blacktubi.com/review/tp-link-wifi-adapter/

of course. but PCIE should be better than USB imo, just wonder why there aren't any recommended on the front page, only USB models.

@OOKAS thanks.

Skip all models, they don't even come close to this.

The best PCIE WiFi Adapter is ASUS PCE-AC58BT now. It comes with the latest Intel 9260 chipset with really good signal sensitivity.

I reviewed it here.

Doubt you can sell it as well. Even my old DIR-850L is collecting dust just in case the current router fails.

stock firmware sucks.

if your router has flash memory and the model is supported, try to flash custom firmware such as DD-WRT to bring out the best in your router.

Unless it's a Mikrotik or maybe a Ubiquiti then stock firmware rocks. biggrin.gif

Good stuff. Much better than A7.

QCA9984 is known for really good 5Ghz performance.

Yes, that is unstable speed. Some time 600, some time 700, some time 750, some time drop back 650. I keep on complaint, now they only file in report and sent tech ppl to view.

Could be your pc/laptop. Are you using chrome? Try using Firefox browser when doing testing.

I've seen plenty of PCs/laptop that have GIGABYTE LAN that can't get full speed, even seemingly newer ones. I always assumed that it's hardware bottleneck. But as someone said above, could also be anti virus slowing things down.

You could always make a report to them to send someone over to check. Bear in mind there's a Rm53.00 fee unless really your line got problems, like for example the signal is low. But then you would face far more problems like frequent d/c and what not.

Hi, basically both are AC1900 router, just Archer C9 is using a bit dated chipset which not support MU-MIMO, now A9 with new chipset.
