QUOTE(blacktubi @ Mar 27 2019, 01:21 AM) Nope, the RT-AC86U added some gaming features here and there. but review say the network storage transfer speed suck for Blue Cave.IMO, the Blue Cave is an amazing WiFi router. It is just 1 place behind the RT-AC86U even on smallnetbuilder. I am heavily depends on my DNS at home. |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Mar 27 2019, 07:20 PM) thanks to your reply that make me go back to the website and read the review againapparently their 1st review on the NAS performance has wrong info because they used the wrong configuration. when I go back I saw their 2nd review and the performance improved so much after they set the correct configuration. I immediately purchase it and use RM45 discount code on it to make it RM715 nett. |

QUOTE(XP750 @ Apr 2 2019, 02:39 PM) QUOTE(OOKAS @ Apr 2 2019, 05:10 PM) Now can get even lower than RM900. D-Link is declaring war with TP-Link, using this model to kill TP-Link C5400, C5400X and C3150. wow. AC5300 pricing at RM825. so high spec but just a little bit more expensive than the blue cave ac2600 that I bought it last week at RM715. You may check at user reviews, seems it have overall very good performance. So far no complains from our buyers yet This post has been edited by skty: Apr 2 2019, 08:09 PM |

stock firmware sucks.
if your router has flash memory and the model is supported, try to flash custom firmware such as DD-WRT to bring out the best in your router. |

QUOTE(opjust @ Apr 24 2019, 09:03 PM) Hi forummers, if you can add another RM150 budget (buy from tmall), you may get ASUS RT-AC86U, and flash it with Asuswrt-Merlin firmware, it's the best performance:price router for 802.11ac.Would need a favour from you guys to recommend me a good router for my unifi. I’ve been using unifi for years, couldn’t remember when I start using probably 8-9 yrs ago. Since then I’m using the stock router innacomm rgx4400. Lately after been turboed to 500mbps connection become very bad. I’m looking for a router to replace this. My budget is only around rm500. Can you guide me which one I can buy? My usage is just mobile gaming sometimes, nextflix wired to my TV, laptop on WiFi, another tv upstairs using WiFi and want to add desktop to my house on WiFi as well. I do download as well from time to time. Another thing is I’m working from home now and and need a stable connection especially using Skype for business, every time I wanted to share screen or even view shared screen it always have en error and only wired connection can solve this. I’m suspecting because of the old router. One of the forumers here has suggested to get ac2300, I saw from ookas around 550, do you think I can get a good stable connection up to 500mbps using this router or is there any other suggestion Thanks in advance for your recommendation if not, wait for 802.11ax to be a norm in the market for future proof router. if you don't mind with the 802.11AC technology, close both eye and go for AC86U. You will never go wrong...
