For me, I will transfer on my each trip to my laptop as well.. so no points to put it everything inside the phone storages.
That's is why 256gb has a plenty of free speces.

i did transfer to my external storage. just it is too big storage (256GB) for not keeping things inside. i still have 146GB free. I got my iphone x on day 1.

Seriously what you can do with 128gb storage for example .. how long would you take it full spaces?

Lol I got few external HDD and Pcie storage as well.. I don't know what I can do it now.. even my Sony raw files still have plenty of storage now..

Smartphone technology has already reached a level where major improvements and breakthroughs are hard to come by. Manufacturers can also claim so much as better battery life, a faster processor, better screen and resolution, better camera etc where except battery life, you wont really notice a difference in your daily usage of the phone. While I don't blame them for the  above, it is the increase in price which is the real issue. Some companies are really over their heads where they dare to price their products exorbitantly without fear of consumer backlash and reprisal. As consumers continue to buy their products, the more bold they become and the pricier their products get. The only thing you you as consumers can do, is to simply not buy. Lets see what is the outcome of the sales of this generation of the Iphone and if they could achieve their targeted sales volume.

Same2 la. Look at Samsung note9? See the sales? Go outlet see if anybody.
And then all the Chinese brands follow iPhone design. Reached phone design limitation.
But look at Apple Watch.m, still so much potential. It’s the hype of the event, overshadowing Iphone. Here is the article with same observation:

Ya, both of you are absolutely right on the money. Smart phones have all reached some sort of plateau where most of the stuffs they can do is same old, same old already, unless of course if you want something gimmicky like Oppo's slide out camera smile.gif Reason why people don't give Samsung as much flak as they give Apple for keeping things the same is that Apple keeps increasing the price every time they release a minor upgrade into a phone. I thought their customers would punish them last year when they priced the iPhone X so high but it ended up being their best seller instead. This year they released the Xr as a cheaper alternative and I think that's quite smart of them. But ya, unless the market responds poorly (like how they did to the S9/S9+) Apple might get away with it. Again.

yeah. 256gb is actually right size. my iphone x 256gb still left 146gb free space even i took many photos and 4k videos during my recent trip.

one of the concern is the lighting transfer speed. iphone x is not usb 3.0. hope that iphone xs now has better transfer speed.

Back then people were wondering about the 512GB for the Macbook as it was very pricy. And that’s a laptop where more storage will be needed but now it’s only a phone.

Anyway, the reason for the more expensive price is because the internal memory. They are blazing fast. Apple just don’t use cheap memory.

I checked ATnT and Note 9 128GB is as pricey as iPhone Xs 64GB. I won’t doubt the new iPhone will still sell well.

Well that's what I do each year tongue.gif , been changing iPhones every year since the 3GS....

I'll only probably stop buying when they cost like....I don't know never really thought about it...maybe 15k? lol! Fingers crossed we never reach that point, at least while I'm still alive.

If anyone needs my support in any "boycott buying iPhones" movement, you will definitely not be able to count on me bahaha

Luckily I haven't been sucked that deep into the Apple ecosystem.....yet, although I've been dragged slightly deeper as I will be getting my first Apple watch in the series 4 also this year.

TBH though the only reason I'm still with the iPhones is I detest Android. So really, there isn't any other choice for me.

I started to change iphone every year since 6s plus till 8 plus, skipped X due to small size, hoping for XS Max, but that price, wooaa, made me think twice.
But my capital is also for the Android flagship, I still can coup android flagship and up to Iphone 8 plus. Already owned Note 9, and to add another iphone with that cost, hmm, eventually, screw, im just gonna buy one... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Can you define what it means by cheap memory and blazing fast memory as per your claim above? rolleyes.gif

they are 2 component in ANY phone that made them expensive, the storage type and screen.
I would say the combination of Super AMOLED + UFS 3.0 Storage..

yes, exactly. many just simply compare on paper spec, but apple actually uses much better hardware. like the ssd on macbook pro, it is insanely faster than any ssd that can be found on any other windows laptop.

The IPhone Xs and Xs Max is not running on Ufs 3.0. So how better is Apple's hardware particularly on storage on the XS and Xs Max?

For your info,

Samsung is bringing Ufs 3.0 to the S10/ S10+

Hi guys
Can recommend me which iPhone to buy

No matter hw many times I change to Android, I still prefer iPhone..I think because of app quality..also tired with android bugs..phone will slow/lag after a year plus..using pixel 2 now.. still fast but so many problem with the phone..screen blue tint prob is still ok for me..but then come another bug..latest is no notification sound which is really annoying..only advantage of android is their camera and fast charging

Last highest model iPhone I used ip7 plus.. reason selling.. too huge.I think those bezel really big make it uncomfortable but then when I change to iphone se I feel like toy phone so small, change to 6s ..feels ok but the battery really sucks after iOS 11 .other reason is the Touch ID didn’t work that well for me but I think my finger hard to register..even pixel 2 also sometime not work.. only Samsung phone works well with my finger for some weird reason

I will most probably wait it out a bit later for AP sets from Hong Kong as the sets fron HK, Macau and China sets support physical dual sim.
