Can't wait to get my hands on the XS max. Been waiting for this since last year's launch. Got the iPhone 8 plus last year because I didn't like the weird proportions of the X screen.

Also the Apple Watch Series 4. Finally a change.

Price wouldn't bother me that much. Double purchase for me this year.

Looks like Apple are really not holding back on the prices. The XS max will breach RM6k and possible >= RM7k for the 512 GB lol!

From the pics looks like it but then again Apple camera angles can be very deceiving

Anyway it seems to me that Apple has gone a little overboard with the pricing for the Xs Max. Compared to the Xs it only has a larger screen and marginal better battery life.

Before with the plus and non plus versions at least the additional stuff you get on the plus justifies the extra premium you gotta pay a little more.

Before this I was pretty set on the Xs Max, looking at how small and negligible the so called "extras" are, not so much now, probably the Xs will suffice.

Not sure man but at launch the retail price for the X in Malaysia was RM5149 for 64GB and RM5899 for the 256GB with GST. But prices rapidly dropped from then on.

Retail price now for the X after SST is RM4857 for the 64GB and RM5565 for the 256GB now for places still selling it.

The 512GB for this year's iPhone X will most likely take last year's 256GB price point and the 256GB will sit in between.

Then again the Xs Max isn't significantly better than the Xs which in turn isn't significantly better than the X lol!

Apart from the bigger screen and minor improvement on battery life over the Xs, everything else is the same between the Xs and Xs Max.

Plus one hand operation on the Xs Max will be almost impossible.

God damn it why does Apple need to make it so hard this year. If the difference between the Xs and Xs Max was as significant as the plus vs non plus versions I would just top up for the Xs Max no questions asked.

Guess this is why its a "Max" instead of a "Plus".

Probably when it was a "Plus" version it really had "plus" improvements over the non plus version. For starters it had a larger and better screen (higher pixel density), a better camera, significantly better battery life etc.

The "Max" this time probably just meant it was a maximum sized iPhone and that's it. It's basically just a bigger Xs.

If according to the conversion chart above he still makes quite substantially per unit he sells though. But too bad Oct 17 COD date else I would've seriously considered.

Ah didn't take that into account. Yeah then probably he is just earning a little and he is a genuine good guy helping people get their iPhones at reasonable prices.

Well that's what I do each year , been changing iPhones every year since the 3GS....

I'll only probably stop buying when they cost like....I don't know never really thought about it...maybe 15k? lol! Fingers crossed we never reach that point, at least while I'm still alive.

If anyone needs my support in any "boycott buying iPhones" movement, you will definitely not be able to count on me bahaha

Luckily I haven't been sucked that deep into the Apple ecosystem.....yet, although I've been dragged slightly deeper as I will be getting my first Apple watch in the series 4 also this year.

TBH though the only reason I'm still with the iPhones is I detest Android. So really, there isn't any other choice for me.

The info has been up since day one on the Apple SG website dude. The Xs and Xs Max in SG will be getting the nano sim + eSim version.

In HK only the Xs Max is getting the dual nano sim. Xs will be nano sim + eSim as well.

I suspect MY will be getting the nano sim + eSim model also. Unlikely for them to roll out a different model in Malaysia than Singapore.

I am an 8 plus user, plan to upgrade soon, still sitting on the fence between the Xs and the Xs Max.

I recently bought an X for my gf and played with it for a bit and it reminded me of how much I miss easy and comfortable one hand operability of a phone

The Xr's screen size would probably be the sweet spot for me.

Apple should've made the Xs 6.1" and the Xr 5.8" instead.
