If in no hurry, you probably can get it slightly cheaper around 2-3 months later when there are sales running on platforms like Lazada, Qoo10 etc.

I have a relative who flies to the States frequently, and the US prices published excludes taxes, and depending on which state you’re in, the taxes can go as high as 10% or more. So maybe that seller doesn’t earn that much? Not sure though, either way I prefer to buy it when it’s locally available, or during my annual Christmas trip to Singapore smile.gif

why not saudi arabia...cheaper there...

Coz I'm lazy to check every other country that launched in the first wave, hahaha... But seriously though, is Saudi much cheaper?
Ya, true. My brother-in-law bought his X about a couple of months later as they didn't have any stock of unlocked ones earlier.

For me, I will transfer on my each trip to my laptop as well.. so no points to put it everything inside the phone storages.
That's is why 256gb has a plenty of free speces.

Well that's what I do each year  tongue.gif , been changing iPhones every year since the 3GS....

I'll only probably stop buying when they cost like....I don't know never really thought about it...maybe 15k? lol! Fingers crossed we never reach that point, at least while I'm still alive.

If anyone needs my support in any "boycott buying iPhones" movement, you will definitely not be able to count on me bahaha

Luckily I haven't been sucked that deep into the Apple ecosystem.....yet, although I've been dragged slightly deeper as I will be getting my first Apple watch in the series 4 also this year.

TBH though the only reason I'm still with the iPhones is I detest Android. So really, there isn't any other choice for me.

I started to change iphone every year since 6s plus till 8 plus, skipped X due to small size, hoping for XS Max, but that price, wooaa, made me think twice.
But my capital is also for the Android flagship, I still can coup android flagship and up to Iphone 8 plus. Already owned Note 9, and to add another iphone with that cost, hmm, eventually, screw, im just gonna buy one... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Can you define what it means by cheap memory and blazing fast memory as per your claim above? rolleyes.gif
*
they are 2 component in ANY phone that made them expensive, the storage type and screen.
I would say the combination of Super AMOLED + UFS 3.0 Storage..

The IPhone Xs and Xs Max is not running on Ufs 3.0. So how better is Apple's hardware particularly on storage on the XS and Xs Max?
For your info,

Samsung is bringing Ufs 3.0 to the S10/ S10+
*
In my previous comment, I included "any" phone that utilize these 2 main components, will pay a premium price. Even Iphone X is using Toshiba 64gb storage and they are expansive. You cannot imply iphone cheap hardware justifies the price. Iphone X example costs $370 and the OLED screen alone is 1/3 of the price $110.

So as a company who will support you for the next 5 years in OS update, buttery smooth in the end user experience, a must-optimized software development, a top notch CPU which beats others SD and exynos in better margin. Apple for sure will sell them in premium.

I wont bother buying an Iphone since I always sell them back after year a and get at minimum 70%-80% of the purchased value.

Just as a matter of discussion, how can you claim above when there is no fact to suggest so? Have you watched the video i posted in the post above? nod.gif

I purchased top flagship android phone (which currently Note 9) every single year and I changed my iphone every year.

IOS Update

Iphone 5S (9/2013) will get the IOS 12, while S7 Edge (6/2016) might not be getting android Pie

CPU

A11 beats SD 845 in every corner...imagine how A12 can do.

Touch

You will have 120hz touch input which the note 9 wont have

IOS smoothness

this is a bit subjective, but person who use both phone can experiences the differences

If you consider best for bucks, than iphone will be out this league, they are not meant for it.
If you consider long term use with years of support, then Iphone ftw.

Iphone XS and XS Max review

it was only a thought

The Guardian, not given early access to the new phones, will review them when they arrive in the post with normal punters’ pre-orders. But for now, this is what a privileged few thought of the to most expensive iPhones for 2018.
