Honestly speaking i was eyeing the XS Max for the bigger screen, i read a lot so will probably have a better experience on a bigger screen. It depends on the launch price tho lol

The XR looks good on paper, but after using the iphone x, i cannot tahan the lower pixel density lol (its...really obvious to me).

Only if i can use that long , personally i felt 6k for a phone is max i would pay at the moment. I only use max 2 years for a phone.

For me its not worth to pay even 5k.. Not worth mean I wont pay that much even if I could.. but if u use iphone for 5 years, then ok la for u.. Coz I change phone minimum once a year, and having multiple devices.. As for geek its just the joy of unboxing and exploring new gadgets.. Smart phones have all reached some sort of plateau where most of the stuffs they can do is same old, same old already, unless of course if you want something gimmicky like Oppo's slide out camera   Reason why people don't give Samsung as much flak as they give Apple for keeping things the same is that Apple keeps increasing the price every time they release a minor upgrade into a phone. I thought their customers would punish them last year when they priced the iPhone X so high but it ended up being their best seller instead. This year they released the Xr as a cheaper alternative and I think that's quite smart of them. But ya, unless the market responds poorly (like how they did to the S9/S9+) Apple might get away with it. Again.

The IPhone Xs and Xs Max is not running on Ufs 3.0. So how better is Apple's hardware particularly on storage on the XS and Xs Max?

I have both the IPhone X and Oneplus 5t. But in the real world speedtest comparison, the Oneplus 5t still wins over the IPhone X.

I have a similar problem. At the moment, it’s Best to go for iPhone 8 or X due to the heavy price reduction. Else wait for the XR or the Xs which is due to arrive in mid Oct.

Apple did not use UFS. They use NVME Pcie for their internal storage. Also Apple having absolute control on the software and hardware have always been a bonus. This is why they trail-blazed the competition in internal storage.
The good news is Apple adapted their SSD controller used on the macbook pro and optimized it for their iPhone. This is why u have insanely superior, never seen before internal storage speeds on a phone.

If previously having the X, probably go with the XS Max feel like slightly difference.
