Dr how in bangsar did have a good reputation. But ever since he started expanding his business i think his quality of work and conscience is compromised.

I don't think so wor ~ recently, I just pay a visit for check-up, the clinic is improving, environment is much better and class, the staffs are more friendly and nice~ (some are pretty too tongue.gif)
Dr. How still busy as usual but he is still very friendly and professional to all the patient (my observation when waiting for my Q~)
I saw Imperial Dental won ITMJ Medical Travel Awards 2014-Winner of International Dental Clinic of the Year !!! seem like they getting famous internationally lioa !

Hi guys,
I'm happy to announce that i got my braces on now for 2 months +.
After reading all the feedback.
I have decided to take the Damon Q braces (RM6500 ,deposit 2500).
So far i didn't experiences any pain too but just a little bit of pressure on the first few days.

I did my braces at Drs. Wong& Partners Dental Surgeons, Sri petaling branch ( www.smile-link.com/ )
My dentist is a female : Dr.Lau and she is friendly.
I like her because she always make sure that her patients did not suffers from any pain.

I have a bit of overbit and snaggletooth (both side on left and right).
She told me to do extraction before the treatment will cause a lot of pain.
There will be no pain/less pain if i extract it after braces.
My first extraction was 1 and half month later and yes there was no pain at all.

sorry to post my rants here but i have a bad experience dealing with Kaur Dental & Orthodontic Clinic in Sunway.

Everything was ok despite the long waiting hour / a little pricey for the follow up services before the new Dr. Kaur came in. The previous Doctor retired and has passed over the clinic to a new Doctor.

Since then, he was charging ridiculous price for small minor services (e.g. RM 100 for less than 3 minutes of servicing works, and often u need to wait more than 2 hours for your turn no matter u have or have not make appointment OR charging RM 100 for replacing one spoiled bracket when it was used to just RM 50 from the old Dr)

THE POINT IS: THE CONDITION HAS NOT IMPROVED EVER SINCE THE NEW DOCTOR TAKE OVER!!! It has been half a year now and i am really angry and dissatisfied.

Hey guys,

Can anyone recommend an experienced ortho doc in KL/Cheras area (staying near Kajang but willing to travel for a good doc)? I've already completed my braces and all that. Been wearing retainers for a few years already. Problem is, I sometimes grind my teeth at night, and I've been through nearly 2 essix retainers. I need another solution other than busting essix retainers.

Previously was using hawleys for upper and lower. Then swapped to hawley for upper and essix for lower, but I grind my teeth. So lower one swapped to a thicker essix but looks like I'm busting that one too. Also wanna swap docs cuz the ortho doc that did my braces has a ridiculous waiting time at the clinic even though I have an appointment.

How long does it take for the gap due to an extracted to close up? Does it close up entirely? Because I've had my braces on for a year now and I'm supposed to wear it for 2 years, but I feel like there's not much of a difference going on with the gap.

Is 24 years old too old for braces?
Want to opt for a faster method, any suggestion as I really have no knowledge in this.

Hi all. I've done my braces at Drs. Wong & Partners (Cyberjaya branch). Very fast and reasonable price. Even done both upper & lower braces on the same day. 😂 😂. I highly recommend this clinic for those interested in having braces. They have many branches throughout KL. The main branch is at Sri Petaling.

I agree. Started putting them on back in December 2011 due to positive reviews - at that point of time he was friendly, attentive and will explain to you thoroughly regarding the procedures and how long it would take. He even put them on and reviewed them himself. That was before his "business expanded". In year 2013, the waiting period was a nightmare - there were times I had to wait for 2 hours!! It was insane and what got me really pissed off was that he started handling down his patients to his assistants/other doctors and his role was just to monitor/oversee the progress which I felt was not fair at all considering the price I paid and the expectation I had. Kept quiet and went along with it before I requested to debond in December 2013 after getting his green light (he was saying that I had a bit more to go but since I was in a rush to debond and seemed happy with my result, he gave me the green light).

A few months have passed and I wasn't pleased with some of the result - hence I returned for the 2nd treatment and was quoted an extra charge. Prolly one of the unwise decisions ever because now I felt I should have went to another orthodontist instead. Am now in the 4th month of my current treatment and what I did not like was the way he treated some of his patients, as sometimes he does not bother to sit with you or to even greet you but to only give instructions to his assistant/other dentist who would carry out the review work.

I wonder if he knows the downside of this expansion that hits him now since he lost his loyal customers who once stood by him. Yes they may have won some awards and being recognised internationally judging from the visitors they have, and the overseas seminars he flies to, but if they could not even retain and please their existing customers, what good would it do in the long run. Seems like this clinic has turned into a commercial like business without the personal touch anymore.
