Does anyone knows around how much it cost for Invisalign and is it necessary to remove any tooth? Which clinic is better? Any recommendation? For kl area smile.gif
*
If I am not mistaken and my memory serves me right, it's rm17k in white smile. Dr Reuben offers lingual braces for free in the event you don't get your desired results from Invisalign. I think it's the only clinic that offers that...

Hi all,

Is there any good orthodontist to recommend in Subang Jaya?

On side note, I'll be getting marry next year. Is it possible to remove the braces just for the pre wedding picture?
*
Think there is one in ss2, if you look back in this thread.

I think you need to consult the ortho to see if your case can be done within a year. Otherwise probably better to get married first then only put on braces. Or postpone your wedding... Cause you can't just take it off for a couple of days or weeks then out it back on as it will then cost you the full amount again. I think if you read back in this thread there was a member in a similar position as you back in 2011?

In response to jennie486, I go to whitesmile and I can get in and out during lunch time... So far I am relatively happy with it... Only nearing Christmas time it took abit longer as dr Reuben was running the clinic alone... Had to take one hour time off cuz I walked in after lunch at 3.30pm like a boss tongue.gif

Hi,

May i know whats the different between normal dental clinic that provide brace service and a surgery dental clinic?
has anyone try on the new dental clinic at cyberjaya for brace service. That clinic was opened last october 2013 and named "klinic pergigian Mydental ".
If no mistaken the dentis on this clinic name Dr Nurjahanna .

Any recommended around cyberjaya or putra jaya?

Is 6.5k for damon brace reasonable price ( include retainer, excluded others filling, x-ray and study model of teeth)
*
I guess the right question to ask is, if you want to choose a dentist who is a specialist or a general dentist? Cause general dentists can also do orthodontics... if you intend to go to a specialist then check out www.mao.org.my they have a list of specialist and their clinics there smile.gif

6.5k is cheap to me... for KL price anyway. smile.gif

Just put on bracers with Dr Khor from Ooi & Khor in Kota Kemuning..
I chose the self-ligating bracers..
But the problem is i'm not feeling the totally unbearable pain..
is it normal?
And what are you guys daily oral care?
Do you all brush your teeth after every meal and only use specific type tootbrush?

Thanks..
*
I think it's normal, I don't feel unbearable pain either. Only that it is tight and difficult to chew... I am always the last to finish my meal! Also it is a little hard to chew a couple of days after adjustment but it doesn't last long.

I brush twice a day only.... Sometimes during weekends when I have mood I brush an hour after lunch! Only rinse with water after lunch. But I do only use oral b's orthodontic toothbrush.... Can get from caring pharmacy XD

Guys, can I ask a really noob question? When u get braces, do u have to get both for upper and lower teeth? Is it possible to get braces only for upper teeth only?
*
You can get braces at anytime, no you don't have to get both upper and lower. So yes you can get for upper teeth only.

Hi all,

anyone experienced rust on your brackets? I'm using the conventional metal brackets, and I had some champagne and korean makgeoli (rice wine that is abit carbonated). Then this morning, I realized that there are black spots on my brackets, which i think it's the brackets getting rusted. sad.gif
*
If I am not mistaken, the brackets are made out of stainless steel... It shouldn't rust? shocking.gif

Just drop by the clinic and they can share the pricing with you smile.gif it roughly starts at rm7.5k for just braces. There are separate charges for retainers, extraction and moulds.

Hi,

I have a problem of bruxism but not frequently. I want to know if these will slow the results of teeth braces or loosening. I haven't start to have teeth braces but i'm thinking maybe end of the year or next year.
*
Probably best to ask a professional and besides the first consultation is always free biggrin.gif

Do take the first step! I guarantee you will not regret it biggrin.gif
