i'm thinking to use the Amex to pump petrol every weekend for 5% cashback. anyone tried to tie Amex to Setel app and pump using CardTerus (not topping up Setel e-wallet)?

iirc cardterus didn't support american express.
Use ShopeePay Later, then when weekend pay the bill with Amex.

you mean pay at counter using ShopeePay Later when pumping? i'm thinking how can i pay with Setel cause i get 3x Setel points.

i can't fully utilize the max cashback if it's only exclusively for petrol.

Anyone else face problem using amex at aeon big? I tested at 3 different outlets namely subang jaya, seksyen 23 shah alam, bukit rimau. All can't.

4. called maybank CS to ask why the card got declined at 3 separate locations/outlets? probably amex got downtime?

This happened like 3 months ago. At AEON BIG, the Verifone terminal couldn’t process AMEX PayWave, but inserting the chip worked. I also experienced the same issue at BHP with the same terminal I think VX520 terminal. The problem still hasn’t been resolved until now.

Not new card, not expired, enough credit limit, called mbb to complain about the verifone terminal but they said I'm the only one who complained about it. Duh.

Yes, i faced this for the past 3 months too. The verifone silver terminal contactless works sometimes if the amount is small like rm10. And inserting card also randomly and occasionally working and not working especially with bigger amount like rm200. I can easily used contactless or insert card with amount rm200 at restaurants or jaya grocer that using the black terminal without any issue. For the past 3 months I complained aeon big but they take no action. I went to different outlets all also the same as they don't bother to change their old terminal.

Yes, no action was taken. I even had another issue with the cashier before. That time, I wanted to use ShopeePay because I didn’t bring my AMEX physical card. But the cashier simply pressed “cash payment” without asking me the payment method. Since I had already applied my RM5+5 voucher, they said cannot void the bill.

They forced me to pay cash,, but I insisted not to. Finally, they returned me RM10 in cash and I walked away with nothing. All this happened because their terminal cannot accept AMEX contactless (I was using Apple Pay), and the cashier simply pressed cash payment on their own, without checking.

Do i get rebate if i pay Astro/ Unifi using MB2U website for Amex Islamic Plat?

AmEx Ikhwan? No. But pay using their apps yes. AmEx Ikhwan doesn't give cash back for bill payments via M2U. If M2Cards, yes.
