Can't believe we have to call them 'more than once' to get your cards removed from the system in the event that it's not removed yet (and from this thread it seems to be a 'normal' situation). On the contrary, my cc cancellation with CIMB was instantaneous, called CS, logged in cimb clicks at the same time, when requested to cancel, immediately reflected on my cimb clicks. The card was already 'gone' by the time the CS officially communicated to me (same call) that my card cancellation request has been approved.. If CIMB can, why can't they? (afterall it's sort of an open secret that these two 'compete' a lot)..

My Ocbc credit card were also was removed in the Ocbc online the next day. I think only Maybank is the most tedious one.

If you have been long enough with MBB, all these hiccups are norm to them despite being the largest bank in Malaysia.

Received my statement and the cancelled M2U Mastercard not appear anymore
The points I accumulate using the Mastercard is not added into my AMEX card in my statement, but after cross check in M2U website it is included in my AMEX card

My scenario:-

1st(long2 time ago), i ask to terminate Petronas Visa etc(3 cards) and remove them from m2u. That time, CS was not asking me debit card #. Visible in m2u for many years.

2nd(recently), i ask to terminate M2C Visa and remove it from m2u. The CS ask my debit card # to remove it from m2u. BAM,,,, all inactive cards were vanished. Took 5 days if i am not mistaken.

Exactly same thing happen to me. I just had to make sure when the turn of the year I dont get charged for any fees. None did. So just lived with it there in m2u for many years.

called Maybank CS to cancel M2C visa and within 5 minutes done. The CS even asked is it due to SST lol and i straight answered yes.

Told the CS to remove the linkage from M2U and it would take 6 working days.

I have never failed in MBB CL increase request but this round I failed. My last CL increase was in April 2018.

I don't know. But from what I've read, there are certain actions that discourage banks from approving more cards application (which I translate, equivalent to credit increase). For example, a sudden surge in credit card application from different banks (if each bank gives you 20k, 5 banks would be 100k). You've just gotten a fat credit from another bank (public bank), means there is already some extra credit. So there is little reason to need even more credit.

And we're talking about Maybank2me here. Before I came in to the forum, I thought Maybank2me is not so strict in credit card applications. Here, I found out they are stricter than public bank. I got much more from Public Bank than Maybank2me I should just be grateful that mine was approved since I was on a card application spree.

You should check your ccris and see which application came in first, assuming that maybank2me did check your ccris. If public bank first, that's probably your reason.

I just applied yesterday la and today already received rejection. Not an issue for me, actually the existing CL is more than enough for me as I have requested to upgrade from time to time.

I think so. Last month i just upgraded my card to platinum. Then early of this month i add on the barcelona VS, i ask the lady staff i wish to increase my CL, but she replied, sir, you “just” increased your CL last month. So at the end my CL remain.

Mine was almost 6 months ago. Never mind, I will try next year, not priority for now.

Haha. So they're very the efficient. Look see your ccriss then you should know if Public Bank is the reason, or too soon an application.

I've read somewhere in this forum that Maybank2me will reduce your limit if you're not utilizing it.

just done cancel my M2 visa at 1utama card centre. All process gone smooth, did not asking anything. Just ask me to thumb print and sign form.
