Quite a funny case for me. I've applied for Quantum cards by directly email to cardsmarketing@publicbank.com.my back in July. 2 weeks later the CS notified me its declined by PB.
Then I applied through Ringgitplus again within the same week after being rejected. Towards the end of August, CS contacted me for additional document i.e. payslip. After a week or so I check with the IVR, it informed my application was unsuccessful again lol.
Then I written a lengthy email to them for appeal, on MOnday. This morning received call from PB asking which branch would I like to collect my credit card as my application was finally successful. I was in doubt for a moment when I received the call lol, since I did not expect the appeal to work, I even double confirm with the CS haha.
Time to plan for fully utilize my future cards

not funny, that's normal when the usual application channel was rejected but subsequently approved after appeal process (probably by thorough review and/or management approval)

I see, just all the hassles to finally approve my application was funny to me though. Could've just let me thru at the first try, since I did not provide anymore additional doc after the payslip. Either way, finally got the card i was looking for.

Can you show us the content of your appeal email? Look.. if this is your point of view , I accept.

If you want to prove it to us, show some solid evidence to backup your statement, otherwise its just pure hearsay

simple: you failed based on their internal risk assessment. not matter how many times you apply via normal channel, it'd still fail, unless you're deemed not risky to the bank.

the appeal process is to review your argument and/or additional documentation to support the appeal. you're lucky to be approved after appeal. some might still rejected also.

O/T: Lol, didn't think that his post could have touched a nerve for some.. Just sharing his experience anyway. Like a few have before his. It's a forum.. No offence, it does seem you're a bit 'desperate' to prove your point that appeal is entirely useless.. Told you mate, it works sometimes for CC applications.. Not so much for anything else though..
