Yes, as long as the coolant is designed for aluminium radiators.
I use Mitsubishi Fuso Mercedes long life coolant, as I'm more comfortable with a coolant that has met Mercedes standards. Mercedes were the first manufacturers to develop coolant for aluminium radiators when copper radiators were still mainstream.

lol, I'm purposely using VW G12+ coolant coz have faith on those coolant. DIY changed twice so far, 77k km from radiator cap see still clear no rust.

BOT able to increase engine output as well? Roughly hw much to do that? I need more power in my persona bt Don wan have many problem. Based on what u told me, I think I btr don't swap engine lol. Scare alot problem
*
BOT = Bolt on Turbo.. of cos can increase output. around 7-8k without management and add on 1k for management. Prefer to BOT than swap engine cos its lesser hassle unless u want to go high HP. for persona use AEM FIC6 piggyback. whatever the shop fella recommends for u, stick with FIC6.

Definitely can. But u will have to run on low boost. Around 0.3-0.45 bar to be safe. Since stock internals are not designed for boosting.

If u don't change it as a preventive maintenence, when shit happens, it leaks or worst the fin breaks and water cant pump, then be prepared for a major overhaul. Can be a life or dead situation when ur engine seize while driving at high speed.

Yours is the one that looks like Gen2? If yes I'm still keeping mine. Switched it cause I thought it was the cause of the poor reception, but as it turns out it was that free cheap POS Kais** B**s DVR I had that was causing it. Wasted money on a new single din radio + internal antenna from Blaupunkt at that time.

how to check atf dipstick to know when its full?

After driving, the red fluid should be at the MAX of HOT region right?

mechanic poured 4L of ATF into my gearbox after changing. Researched online, many people said Persona needs 5L.

Currently after driving when I check, the fluid is right at the beginning of HOT area

Correct

Right before hot minimum level when car has not been driven. Between hot minimum/max after driven. You just need to top up between 0.5L to 1L of sp3 atf fluid

Add 0.5L first. Shift through the gears, drive around then come back to check and top up as necessary. No need to make it exactly 5L.. too much and too little is a problem. Sufficient is good enough.

I would presume yours is SV version, last batch right? Before the new Persona.

Yes, mine is the SV. Don't know if last batch or not. But definitely new version Persona after that.

Btw just to share with u all.. I went shopping for some parts on Lazada.. Combined with some discount codes and managed to get some really good deals all for around RM2k.
Basically bringing back my nearly 7 years 10 months old car back new. thumbup.gif

Would recommend e-shops in Lazada such as SM Auto, Vanli, The Spare Parts Shop etc.. Good and secure packing with bubble wraps and very quick delivery. Orders all were processed and shipped within 2 days.
